A Few Mod Requests.

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 8:06 pm

Ok, I have a few mods requests, which I can't find myself, out of either idiocity, they're not there, or they're well hidden:

1. Disarm Trap spell. I'd like for my mages to be able to disarm traps with a spell (I think I saw somewhere that telekenesis works - either way, I want a more realistic approach)

2. A mod to move Wizard's island. I've heard great things, And I'd like to play it, but I don't want to get rid of Silgrad tower. If there's any way to have it moved up north, yet still work completely, I'd be happy as larry.

3. The ability to "push" an NPC by walking into them. Too many times there's NPCs in the way of me, and I can't get past. More so with MCA and LCV, I'd also settle for any way to remove clipping with NPC's only. I know I could eaily create a move dialogue, but I'd rather not have to go into the dialogue just to move an NPC out of the way.

Thanks for any help. :goodjob:

I don't expect for these mods to be out there, I've just had problems looking.

Also, just to save the extra thread, is there anywhere I can write down what I feel about fast travel that I can link to, to save me constantly writing the same stuff in the TESV suggestions thread?

Here is some information for you.

1. Read this http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1060141-mod-recommendations-for-new-players/. I'm not sure if you might find it though.

2. Here is http://www.elricm.com/nuke/html/modules.php?op=modload&name=Downloads&file=index&req=getit&lid=765.

3. I think there is a console command for that. You might want to take a look http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Console.

About your concern about re-typing everything, isn't there a feature for this in your profile settings some where.

1. There was nothing I needed in that thread.

2. I'm not sure how to use TesFaith. I've tried before and it didn't work... at all... besides, would things such as transport spots, scripted teleportations, dialogue teleportation, or scripts that single out an area on the island work if I use this? I wouldn't know where all of the teleports and scripted areas are, and I couldn't go through every single script and NPC to find out.

3. The command you're thinking of is TCL, this will work, but I'll be walking through statics, and NPC's will get lost underground. I'd rather not have to type in the command, either, this is really one of thse small details that I don't really need, but I'd like to have it.

I'm not sure what you're talking about? There is the Notes section, but I'd like to be able to link to my suggestion, as I don't want to keep posting huge posts.

I think the console command he's thinking of is ra, which will set the npcs back in their starting positions in the cell (usually out of the corridors).

There might be a way to temporarily set an npcs wander mode using MWSE. It would be a small script that would be constantly running in the background that could check for all npcs in a cell and check their distance against the player. It would then have to store their original wander mode somehow (this might be the tricky part, I've never tried such a thing with MWSE before), set their wander so that they will constantly walk if the player is bumping up against them, and then set it back somehow once they're out of the way.

I don't know if this can be done, but I can look into it.

Thanks!

Scripting has never been my strong point.. I had trouble making an item appear at a quest stage, in my last mod :glare:
