And remember to download official and unofficial patches for fallout 2, it fixes some things nasty.

I recommend GoG. Both games are patched and run perfectly in Vista.

I seen a few "re-release" pack sets that have come out with 1, 2 and tactics in them. have a look at the cheap section in your local store....

There are also mods that re-add cut content... :)
Personally, I still have the old discs but I should
support the old content anyways so GOG is a good
idea....

GOG? I've never bought any content from there, but the way people talk about it here, it's the place to go for FO1 & 2 :P

There's always Interplay's website if you have any doubts.

Yes, GOG is reliable. It is run by CD Projekt, the developers of The Witcher, and a percentage of the Fallout game sales goes to Interplay.
