Martigen may do something with New Vegas after all, we'll have to see. http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1129268-marts-mutant-mod-for-nv/page__p__16569543__fromsearch__1&#entry16569543

Even if Martigen doesn't, here is to hoping that someone will do something along those lines. Even if it isn't nearly as large scale as MMM -- currently the lack of random spawns in NV is already boring me. :(

maybe you should avoid the secure roads and head for the desert/canyons.

A few hours ago I started at novac, heading north, drifted a bit east and now Im in need of ammo (packed 500 bullets) and my medical supplies are nearly gone.

ATM I couldnt handle increased spawns :batman:

What I'd like to see is something that -just- increases the number per spawn (not more spawn points or more monster types), and nothing else. Prior to MMM, there was something like this for Oblivion. I think it was called "Oblivion Adrenalin" (or something like that?). The only problem was that the monsters/NPCs spawned were duplicates, so you ended up fighting a lot of bandit twins, triplets, etc.

Prior to MMM for Oblivion there were multiple mods that did this.

Yeah...that one is a bit of a...overkill. The effect of increasing the spawn exponentially (rather than just slightly) is that a lot of non-essential friedly or neutral NPCs will be dead by the time you find them.

hmm, what quest NPCs get killed in that mod? I'm done with all quests on my file so I didn't notice.

Sounds like a plus to me. I haven't met anyone I'd even want to set essential so they'd be safe from spawns unlike FO3 where I have to protect nearly every named NPC before starting a new game ;) Imo, this game is in dire need of hundreds of new spawn points for both friendlies and enemies. Aside from the rare swarm of Deathclaws and Cazadors, I'm bored out of my skull.

Yes. Finally I thought I was the only person that saw this.

I have tried in my amatuerish way to add a bit more enemy spawns but I'm not a master modder.
It shouldn't take Martigen to make such a mod though.

I have asked why are there so few spawns of Jackal and Viper gang members and no dungeon's that serve as their base. I know that these two gangs are weak according to lore but they have to originate from some where or have a hub.
Not only is there a lack of enemy spawns but there is a lack of dungeons or interiors for just fighting generic foes repeatedly.

The game creates a nice setting for more violent groups.

There could be deserters from the NCR that maraud the wasteland more spawns of crazed Nightkin etc.
There could banished Great Khans. I think there should be more dungeons for these new NPCs.

a mod like this for New Vegas would be nice:

http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=11729

Especially since there's so many different factions...

And fiend/viper/jackals need better equipment, more spawns of weak enemies doesn't really increase the challenge at all, which is why I kind of hesitated to mention More Fiends here. Right now I just use fast travel to get from one place to another, because there's no real point in disabling it if you're not going to run into any encounters.

If I knew how to mod, I would've been on this from day one.
