Why would you copy a picture exactly? Kinda pointless, art's about creating your own work. Just use a picture of an argonian so that you know what they look like, and then do your own drawing.

the battlespire cover would be nice in colored pencils, watercolors, or perhaps oils.

btw, if youre copying a picture, its better to choose a screenshot instead of an already art-ed picture. gives you more creative license and helps you to develop skill. knowing how to render realistic (relatively) environments into drawn ones is important.

just making sure... griding the picture is part of the assignment right? because otherwise i'll have to slap you with my art stick :nono: even then, why dont you pic something for yourself? art is all about being creative and expressing your personal vision. there is no way you'll do a nice picture if youre not excited for the source/medium.

You should edit it and up the contrast (preferably make it black and white).

If you ever want to get a great panoramic sketch (not to mention a fun adventure through Oblivion's "Misty Mountains") go from Bruma west into the mountains, following a path up the mountain (towards Hermaeus Mora's shrine) and follow the road until you're north of Chorrol. When you get to the right spot, you'll know.
