Is there anyway to get ED E's inventory back?

Title says it all really. After handing him over to The Brotherhood (or Followers of the Apocalypse), his inventory is supposedly cleared due to a change in the actual NPC being used. There are console fixes for the PC version to retrieve the old ED E and take his inventory, but is there anyway for us PS3 and 360 players?
I ask because I only remembered reading about this after I had handed him over and my saves are both past this point. He was carrying all the unique weapons I collected, a number of weapon mods, some upgraded weapons and my Combat Armor, Reinforced Mk. 2 which I was slowly repairing, and I don't want to continue this playthough without these items.
I will happily restart, since I wanted to give melee another try anyway, but I'd much rather this was fixed.

No, the items are destroyed. It would have been nice had they included this warning when handing him over. So unless you have a save prior to handing ED-E then you're attached to another object by an incline plane, wrapped helicly around an axis.

In other words, you're screwed.

Haha! Cheers mate. I guess they probably overlooked the fact during implementation rather than declined to tell us, so I'm not gonna dwell on that playthrough. Time to get cracking on a melee or unarmed character. Have fun!

I did know about this before, but was also surprised to see this happen without any warning or hint. Especially since ED-E is pretty much everyone’s E-Packbrahmin and carries a lot of stuff for us around. They really put intentionally some odd things into F:NV to piss gamers off (like this or hidden walls).

Like ED-E anyway. :)
