iCrimeThreshold

Post » Wed Dec 30, 2009 9:15 pm

I recently downloaded a mod which alters the fines incurred for various crimes and increases the threshold for the death penalty to 52001 to compensate. However the new death penalty threshold isn't working and it remains at 5000. AFAIK none of the other mods I have change this value. I've tried loading all the plugins I have active in game in the construction set and the value was still 52001 and I even changed the value in the last mod in my load list just in case. Any ideas as to what is going on?

According to the Morrowind Scripting for Dummies, iCrimeThreshold sets the crime level over which NPCs react to you negatively. Its default value is 1000.

I've checked in the CS and it appears that the death penalty threshold is not governed by a game setting, but is set from dialog instead. You'll find the death penalty dialog greeting under Greeting 0, its info ID is 58028831233554797. It has the condition PCCrimeLevel >= 5000, changing this will likely get you the results you desire.

It did. Thanks.

It turns out the mod in question had edited that value as well and it still wasn't taking effect but I was able to remedy this problem by editing the value in one of mods that's later in the load order.
