They have replicators?

i read this on wiki

The Sierra Madre vending machines demonstrate something astounding about pre-war civilization. Elijah states that the Sierra Madre vending machines do not operate off of internal stockpiles, but by breaking down the chips themselves to create the desired objects. The Coin Operator perk demonstrates that these chips are not even some form of nanotech feedstock, but simple alloys of common and fissionable elements(Christine can demonstrate to the Courier how to make functional chips out of Fission Batteries and Scrap Metal at any Workbench) - the machines use nuclear fission/fusion to process this material not only into tools, but edible food and even prescription drugs. They demonstrate that civilization was on the cusp of unimaginable prosperity when the bombs fell: a truly great height from which to fall.

i have pc so i haven't played it jet
is this true
more importantly is this canon

Mothership Zeta is canon so I don't see why replicator vending machines wouldn't be.

I don't see why it wouldn't be canon. I can't say I'm a big fan of it though. It's far too advanced to be believable. It sounds more like something a technologically advanced civilization like the Commonwealth would develop at some point during the 200+ years after the war, and not pre-war tech. I mean even Liberty Prime is more believable than a machine that can effortlessly convert raw matter into seemingly anything else imaginable.

Still, if Bethesda ever sets a game in the Commonwealth, this sort of gives them free reign to make whatever the hell they want. How can someone complain about androids when there's a vending machine out west that can convert fission batteries and scrap metal into alcohol, medicine and clothing?

Everyone Ready for a Shocker?!

Cut from FO2: http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Environmental_Protection_Agency.

In the EPA was Mr. Chemmie! "The player discovers a small appliance in one lab (Mr. Chemmie) that takes various raw materials (plants, beer, condems, chemicals, garbage, Scorpion tails) and turns them into various pharmaceuticals like RadX, Mentats, RadAway, and so on. The player can experiment with the machine to create certain drugs or bizarre substances. Characters with a high Intelligence, Luck, or a high Doctor or Science skill can create special drugs that no other character can."

It also had Holograms alot like Dead Money (which I still can't get).

xXAntibodyXx I agree it is pretty advanced for fallout and so does the Androids of the Commonwealth but I am starting to live with the idea of the androids, after all like you said they have been workin on advanced tec for over 200 years.

IMO those vending machines were just a step too far, why were they in a casino, those things should be in military bases and such. I would sooner have the Commonwealth and the Androids which I think are similarly [censored] but not as much as these vending machines.
