But, they're always making such adorable chirping sounds and then start to flap their wings euphorically, i.e. when they start to launch their next gruesome aerial attack on you. It makes them so ... cute!

Ok, perhaps i'm really starting to lose my mind right now...

I believe it is never enough to post evidence of their true beauty, so here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3l54ZlwSAUs&feature=related

I motion for specific epic quests, where you have to join either cliff racers or mud crabs.

The main goal of the Dragonborn is to unite the cliff racers of Tamriel... they're the only ones who can kill the dragons.

You know what guys, cliff racers weren't so bad... Everytime you went into the ashlands your marksman skill would increase tenfold! You just had to bring enough arrows.

The cliffracers can do to the dragons in Skyrim what they did to the dragons in Morrowind, which was eat all their food.

Wait, maybe that's why the dragons are attacking?

OR, maybe the trailer was really talking about Cliff Racers. It matches up. The lyrics are a perfect fit for them.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hGMOMkACtn4

EDIT: It makes perfect sense! It's a war of the dragons vs. the Cliff Racers, and the "DRAGONBORN" is the only one who can stop the Cliff Racers from devouring all that is good.

No, Cliff Racers only have a taste for the Nerevarine. They think anything less is to low for them.

This is so true. :(

Meh, the only really anoying part of the cliff racers for me was the fact of me hearing battle music. I would frantically look around for an enemy chasing me and see nothing, 2 minutes of running later and i hear the sound of a cliff racer attacking me. Seriously, if theres gonna be cliff racers then there better be big neon flashing signs of fingers pointing at them following them through the sky whenever they attack. Otherwise no problem with them being there.

Cliff racers remind me of seagulls because of their chirping (even though it doesn't really sound like a seagull).

Still remember standing near the ghost gate with a pile of cliffracers at my feet and more coming it. Swing... swing (ie die roll... die roll) screaming "die you bastards". Ah, good times.

I believe we got it all backwards: the trailer was about a Council composed of wiseman, kings, mages and scholars deciding on how to stop the Cliff Racers invasion, and they reached only one conclusion, Dragons. So they will call for some Dragon Disciple (AD&D copyright infringement) Dragonborn to lead the only foes capable of stopping the Terror from the Skies, the Magnificent CR's.

Clifff racers are terrific enemies. I think the only people who don't like them must be the melee-only fighters... but that's what you get for being stuck in melee mode. :D Since I play ranged-only characters, they are wonderful for target practice and lots of fun! :P

bethesda are going to make the cliff racers four times more powerful, and twice the amount they had in morrowind, so be prepared for skyrim ladies and gentlemen! :shocking:

dude no cliff racers. seriously the cliff racers killed the dragons in morrowind. thats not cool i hate them and they r so annoying. ooh they r so annoying...they always see u and even at full speed u cant outrun them. unless of course u use things to enhance ur speed.

You know the trailer to skyrim...they are not really dragons, but cliff racers! ....THE END IS NIGH!

The Elder scrolls said they would be back...the cliff racers being drawn out of morrowind... was merely a setback. And when they Dawn... they dawn in a huge mass of annoying squaking!...

wut kind of coke do u snort? lol. my morrowind character had full skills maxed out on all of them except or mercantile. i culd shoot a moving cliff racer without a crosshair from a lonnggg distance...and i absolutely hate them... cuz sometimes u just wanna go somewhere. or chill somewhere and then bam 3 cliff racers come down from the sky or u have to stop and shoot them. it gets really annoying. i love ranged characters but damn lol.

I am only melee but at level 2 they took me 15 seconds each to kill. They were easy as hell. All I did was put short blade as one of my main skills and I got plenty of hits.

Well if they do return, i want a mountable Cliff Racer :P

My only real problem was they flew too high above me for me to notice in my normal enemy scan of the area, if i was mounted on one and up there to see them, they'd all die in a hail of arrows mwahahaha....

if you reached the max speed of 255, they are still faster. like i said about skyrim and the cliff racers, be prepared! :chaos:

I'd rather cut out my own spleen and eat it with a spoon.

Ugh, the flashbacks.... so... many... cliffracers. *whimper*

"CHOOSE YOUR DESTINY"
So, you're running away from those *nasty* Cliff Racers who are closing in by the dozens, you cannot stand their "chirp-chirps" anymore, it's driving you crazy, when you decide to jump off a chasm to the other side - BUT before you actually jump, you spot something there and can hear a faint "by Azura, By Azura, BY AZURA" - yes, him, the self-proclaimed Vice-Champion of Cyrodill, in flesh and blood - the Adoring Fan is waiting for you on the other side.

What do you do:

a.) Stand to face the nightmarish chirping Cliff Racers;
b.) Jump off the cliff to what hopefully is a certain death, but in fact is a sea of dreadful Mud Crabs;
c.) Jump to the other side to face him, the Adoring Fan;

?

Is there a fourth option, preferably one in which I fall on my own sword?

The Adoring Fan... i still don't understand why he makes people so... aggressive... with all the hate videos and stuff... *shrug*
He's just a fan... perhaps a naive one... but still. You can simply tell him to bugger off...

Those who wanted a fourth choice:

d.) jump to the other side, stay face to face with AF while closes up to you saying "by Azura", lose balance, get 'chirped' by the countless Cliff Racers all the way down to the sea of Mud Crabs, Terrifying Terrors of the Terrible Seas.
