It feels like Skyrim

Post » Sat Jan 02, 2010 4:51 pm

Sitting in Eastern Mass watching the Skyrim trailer and announcement video with the heavy snow outside. I feel like I was just transplanted to Skyrim! Its pretty cool... Anyone in this storm watch the trailer and announcement and tell me whether or not the current weather adds to the excitement/atmosphere of this game :)

Speaking of weather I hope that it will have more than just a visual effect in Skyrim. Like in Fallout you get affected by radiation, maybe the cold could be an environmental effect where you can freeze to death.

Feels like Skyrim here (Minnesota) too. We've had about two feet of snow within the last two weeks (most of that in one weekend). Feels like the Christmases I remember as a child, and I love it (of course, it could be that I remember more snow because I was smaller :P). I hope there are blizzards in-game. That would be quite fun.

It's beginning to look a lot like Skyrim
Ev'rywhere you go;
Take a look in the five and ten glistening once again
With candy canes and silver lanes aglow.
It's beginning to look a lot like Skyrim
Toys in ev'ry store
But the prettiest sight to see is the holly that will be
On your own front door.

A pair of hopalong boots and a pistol that shoots
Is the wish of Barney and Ben;
Dolls that will talk and will go for a walk
Is the hope of Janice and Jen;
And Mom and Dad can hardly wait for school to start again.
It's beginning to look a lot like Skyrim
Ev'rywhere you go;

Please bring some snow to SC. It's just flaking outside right now.

Freezing to death in Skyrim...

I reallly can say, that I had a full dose of 'what-would-it-feel-like-to-be-in-Skyrim' today.
In Germany the winters can sometimes be very harsh. Today we had Temperatures of -16 °C (3 °F) Due to my job, I was out there in the cold for nearly 5 hours, stomping miles / kilometers through high snow or/and slittering on ice.
It was very very exhausing. Now every muscle in my body hurts... .
Without some nice warm tea out of my thermos bottle, I think I wouldn't have survived this...

When I first watched it, i'm pretty sure it was snowing here.
I'm not watching it now, and it's not snowing. :P

Here, in the southernmost province of Scandinavia we have had a white Christmas for the second time in a row now, which has never happened before in recorded history. It must be the climate-changes. Global Warming, and all that... Hmm...

It's very Skyrim-like. But so it is all year here, because of all the waraxe-swinging vikingberserks in the streets...

The ground's been thick with snow practically all December here in Dublin.

Freezing cold, icy winds, trudging through the snow and slipping around on ice - I feel positively Skyrimmy! :woot:

Snow is still lingering in England although most of it is now ice which is just annoying when trying to walk to somewhere. I did the skyrim feel when I was watching the trailer though and I look out my window to see heavy snowfall :D

It's 7F here in the Midwest, and there is really light, fluffy snow clinging to all the tree branches. It makes them look fuzzy :)
