As John strolled off to the kitchen for some sort of potion, Salvius repeadly tried to pump Halbari's heart back, forgetting that the potion could of been used for him instead of John. It was no use bothering trying to wake up the khajit, nothing worked. The Sergeant had shaked his head vigorously, thrown water and even blood on to his face, but in the end the Imperial just accepted that he was out cold and only a high quality potion or spell would revive him. ''Dammit!'' Sal exclaimed loudly, kicking a cup across the floor in frustration. As he did this, Salvius could hear commotion around the kitchen, even the sound of blades being drawn, ableit almost mutely. There was no time for relaxing, it was clear that there had to be something around. Sal drew his sword and peered soundlessly peered round the corner into the room.
Nothing was in sight, and Salvius had a hard gaze around the room. However it was only until ten or so seconds that he spotted two freshly killed vampires, throat's slit and dead like they deserved to be. Although it worried Sal that he couldn't see anyone. ''Who goes there?'' The Imperial looked around the room vigantly, keeping his sword poking fowards. Almost instantly John appeared round the corner. Obviously he was looking for some sort of potion. And in fact he did, however it was odd. The soldier hadn't drunk it yet, instead it was resting in his shaky hands. Horrificly, yet nobely, John had sacrificed one of his own hands to help another soldier, and to stop any risk of spreading. It was bloody and vile, scars and bruises surrounded it. He looked to be in excrutiating pain, shaking and twitching. But with that said, it's better then being a vampire. Salvius was proud this day, hairs stood up on the back his neck and for the first time, it felt an honour to serve with John. Nonethelss, Sal wasn't going to assume he had turned to some kind of Saint, he could still be the same ole John on the inside.
The Captain rushed into the room, congradulating John. But rather rashly, promoted the man to Sergeant. Salvius almost cringed at the though. One good deed and he's a Sergeant? The Imperial thought, shaking his head. The boy was only in his young 20's without any experience of commanding men. He wanted to question the Captain, but this was not the time. The was a time for celebration on Johns part.
''Well...Where do I start? Look, I won't lie, you suprised me today John. I woulda' never seen that coming in truth. But you did well. Lets just hope you keep this up eh?'' Sal spoke respectfully and honourably to John, seeing as it was fitting. After looking at the man he appeared to be in a dreadful state. He was slumped, eyes looked almost lifeless and could barely balance. The loss of blood, and general confusion, would make anyman drowzy and tired. The potion needed to get to Halbari quick, and at the moment, John was far from quick.
''C'mon, well dones and thank you's can be done later. Halbari is almost turnin' in there! Lets go!'' With that, Sal snatched the potion from John's stiff hands. He sprinted at his best ability towards the Khajit.
Once the men reached Halbari, Sal knelt down over him, opened the cat's mouth and gently administered the potion down into his gullet. After it had been finished the Imperial throw the bottle carelessly across the room, waiting for any reaction from the khajit.
