I was just thinking

I am tired of the straight line cut off that you get when using Tamriel Rebuilt. It wasn't a big deal gameplay wise, but my distant landscape just doesn't make sense. I know someone must have generated some less-detailed landfiles for the rest of Tamriel. I would be soooo happy to see someone release some resource so that MGE could render something off in the distance where the rest of the mainland should be. Or am the only one who is bugged by the cut off?

Have patience. When the other maps are released they'll all fit together and the cut-offs will be no more.

I know but I was just hoping for a placeholder of some sort.

By the time all of Tamriel Rebuilt is done I will probably not have access to my Morrowind computer anymore :cold:

i know the feeling. I've only used to TR mods once, and for whatever reason, I never put it back in the game. I think it was because it was cut off actually. But they looked excellent. Can't wait for them to be finished.

Of course, at the rate things are going, we don't know when that's going to be. By the time all of them are finished modern computers might not even be able to run Morrowind anymore.

This is perhaps one of the reasons why I don't actually use any of the Tamriel Rebuilt mods, they would be very nice until you get to the point where the land just... ends, which I think might be a bit too much for my suspension of disbelief.

Hmm... not a bad idea, actually... I might actually give it a decent go myself once I get back home...

Just a basic landmass to keep it flowing, right?

Sacred East is tantalisingly close- pretty much just NPCs left to do. Patience, patients.

Look forward to that Cathartis

And if anyones interested, i actually have a heightmap for the morrowind mainland that fits perfectly with TR's two existing maps. The existing areas could be cut off and then make some hills on the remaining area, scatter some rocks and stuff about :P

Someone should make a small plugin that tapers the end of the landmass down to the ocean floor for each map for people that don't like looking through the land. This would include map 1 for the people that would rather have other landmasses that have quests instead of map 2.

Absolute false statement...false and untrue

You could even run DOS Based Former Elder Scrolls Games on high tech computer using DOS-Box or similar emulators.

Dude, I have to know cause I use a high tech monster and I have no problems running Morrowind, Daggerfall or Arena!

I blame the rapid advancements of MGE. :hehe:

A mod that tapers the end of Antediluvian Secret's landmass to the seafloor would be very nice.
(If we wait for the next expansion, then we'll still need to taper the other side of that one.)

I'd do this myself, but I'm not familiar with landscape editing.

It's one of the reasons that I decided to wait until more of the TR project was finished before playing it.
I found that the sudden end, and gaping landscape hole tends to break the "suspension of disbelief", as Selbeth_The_Winged_One put it.
(But from what I've heard of it, I'd like to try it out on my next major playthrough.)

After Sacred East is released (which I believe is expected in just a few months) You should release a simple plugin containing the mainland landmass. This plugin shouldn't actually be loaded by Morrowind, only MGE. this would provide a nice visual placeholder.

Or you could not release too I guess. :violin:
