Didn't really want to start a new thread about this, especially if it's just because I got lucky. However, I also didn't want it to get buried in any of the other threads, so here goes.

The simple solution is to use the wait feature, one hour at a time, until you see McCafferty(sp?) is in Freeside, then kill him and finish the quest.

I didn't do this, I was lucky in that he was in Freeside the second I picked up the quest. I haven't had any friezes and I've been in and out of the strip, the casinos and NCR embassy.

Hope this helps some of you until a patch is released.
