Disappearing items!

Post » Wed Jan 06, 2010 8:38 am

I just went into the Silver Rush store, used a Stealth boy, and stole everything without getting noticed.
When I left the store, the dude gave me all of my weapons back, but everything I stole is nowhere to be found.
It isn't anywhere in my inventory.
Also, I'm 70 Wg's overweight because of the stuff I stole, and planned on selling/repairing, even though it's nowhere in my inventory. I can't get rid of the items of course, so I'm stuck being over-encumbered.
Anyone know how to fix this?

Obsidian: "Umm, our playtesters never thought to try that. Wait for a possible patch, that bug is low priority compared to hundreds of other bugs."

Haha, low priority? I can't play now!
I really wish I had been keeping multiple saves.
Oh well.
Thanks for the info.

I'm in a similar (though less severe) situation. I have a "Very Suspicious Looking Case" stuck in my inventory and can't drop it as it is a quest item. I failed that quest so I have no way of getting rid of the darn thing! It's 10.0 w.g. so that gets slightly irritating. Though it's not completely related, I didn't want to start a separate thread for this. I think an item deleter add on could be a good idea? Like it'd ask you if you were sure you wanted to delete an item a bunch of times before you deleted it for liability's sake, but then it'd just vaporize useless items as such upon request. Just an idea!

Obsidian Play-testers: Wait... we were supposed to play the game!? I thought we were suppose to go to the main menu and wait there and then turn on Beavis and Butthead while eating hotpockets for eight hours.

At least you HAVE the item in your inventory.
These items aren't in my inventory. If they were, I could use them. But they're not.

Which is why I said my case was less severe!
