Does anybody who comes in contact with Black Isle Remnants i

Not sure where to put this, or even if I'm allowed to post this, but I decided to post this in Series because it deals with the developers of the first 2 and New Vegas.

So basically, I've noticed that a LOT of games with great storylines have some contact with Black Isle remnants: Obsidian, Troika, Bioware (several developers moved there after Isles was closed because they worked together before, then were apparently fired somewhere between Mass Effect 2 and 3), Wasteland 2, http://www.deadstate.doublebearproductions.com/ (which you can fund on http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/70755535/dead-state-the-zombie-survival-rpg, please don't lock this for advertising moderators) which is being developed by a someone who only worked on Vampires: Bloodlines, and another who only worked on a Never Winter 2 DLC. I'm probably missing some games.

So has every game with a good story have SOME connection to Back Isle?

You can debate about anything: the writers, the games I mentioned ect. ect.

I too have found this to be true. I think Fergus has some kind of Fonzi effect.

Do they have ties to Bungie or 343, because I think that Halo has a pretty good story, or at least it is incredibly interesting.

While its no doubt true that the remnants from Black Isle are great writers and have probably helped a great deal in each of the development teams they became part of, you can't really just say that it was for this reason that the development teams they joined are "great."

To do so would be to ignore the many other writers on the team that also did a fantasic job and indeed may have contributed more.

(Not really saying that you particularly are saying this, but just a general thought).

I have to hand it to the Halo series, its got to have one of the best overall storylines in the industry. Something which I've always admired.

I always thought that too, even if you hate how the game runs and the gameplay the story is still impressive.

Also does Black Isles have ties to Rockstar (they probably do), but more specifically Red Dead Redemption, I thought that had an excellent story.

I wasn't sating that, it was just a humorous realization. It just seems that even people who barely work for them, then leave, are able to come up with amazing stories. Also, they worked with Valve for the Bloodlines engine.

Wow thats a lot of people. Apparently people who barely worked with them are also good at storylines, like the
awesome game I linked up there and quite a few other games I've found while perusing the internet. Did they make sure to only hire people good at writing or is that standard training for every position with Black Isle/Troika/Obsidian?

Maybe they were just inspired by the team and said," Someday I'm gonna make a game as awesome as Fallout".

Blizzard also ~Not writing in this case, but the lead artist on Diablo 3 is the same guy that did Fallout's t-51b Power Armor.

One can only hope that Bethesda qualifies for "coming in contact" with them now since they came in contact with Obsidian, in a way?
