Will my PC run Fallout New Vegas?

Post » Thu Jun 14, 2012 8:36 am

Hey guys.Ive been playin New Vegas for the past few years on xbox 360 and have really enjoyed it.Then Skyrim came out and of course i fell i love with it to.But after beating Skyrim i got youtube and started lookin at Skyrim vids and fell i love with what the PC can do.I always knew the PC had better graphics but i had no clue about Nexus or steam.Then i found out New Vegas had this as well i was sold.

Heres my problem though.Ive ever played games like this on PC so i didnt know if my PC could even handle it.I went on http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/ and it said i was good on everthing but a video card.It says i have "Intel? HD Graphics" and it will not work for vegas or skyrim.So is that true will the game not work? And if so what should i do? Its says i can download somethin to update it but i didnt wanna get ahead of myself if i didnt have to download anything.

Forgive my noobness i am totally new to PC gaming and could really use some help.Here are my PC details if you need um.Thanks guys

Operating System:Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit

System:Dell

Processor:Intel® Core™ i5 CPU M 250 @2.40GHZ(4CPUS), 2.4GHZ

Memory:4096 RAM

Direct x Version:DirectX11

If you guys need anymore info on it let me know.Thanks

While the System Requirements Lab is mostly useless when it comes to PCs that actually contain a real video card, it was correct about the one you are using. A game quality card is a requirement. Intel does not, and never has, produced viable graphics CARDS for games. You will need to purchase such a card, and verify that the power supply in the PC can support it. Laptops cannot be upgraded in that fashion, only desktops.

* Windows XP/Vista/Win7
* 1GB System RAM (XP)/ 2GB System RAM (Vista)
* 2.0 Ghz Dual Core processor
* Direct X 9.0c compliant video card with 256MB RAM
(NVIDIA 6800 "GS" or better/ ATI X1300XT or better)
{Added my note here, the X1600 Pro & up really, and
avoid both the Geforce 6800 SE, and the 6800 XT}
* 10 GBs of free hard drive space

You asked if you'll be able to run the game...yes, you'll be able to run it, but not on high settings, you may experience lags or sth similar in large open areas even at medium settings, but nothing disastrous.
Check videos of some people that have played the game on the same graphic card as yours and you'll see they had other system specs much lower as you do, yet the game runned smoothly.
