If Potema was Resurrected fully.

Weren't most of her high ranking generals vampires? If so, the vampires in Dawnguard would probably welcome her with open arms at least...

Well she only got the vampire generals when she got into Necromancy. And I believed she only did Necromancy because her son's death made her insane. Though you are right.

I still have this feeling that she's smart enough to see this and appear more normal at first, if only to get the armies behind her. A normal non Necromancing Potema would be a huge help for all that oppose the White-Gold Concordat, Titus Mede II or the civil war in Skyrim and are looking for a peaceful solution.
The whole "came back from the dead after several centuries" thing is probably a dead giveaway to her necromancy and complete lack of normalcy. Also, while it's possible that she might calm down after spending a bit of time re-adjusting to life, she really didn't seem very level-headed as she was trying to come back to life.

She would be undead. She couldn't take the throne. Nobody wants a walking talking corpse running the empire. Especially with how evil and vile she is.

Uriel and Martin, along with every other Septim emperor, were all smashed together to create Akatosh's avatar, who promptly ripped Dagon's throat out and became the new Stone of white gold, as far as I'm aware.

True, I just don't like it. I don't know why I even care about this hypothetical situation that will never happen, but it would just be awesome to see a power struggle between a Septim and a Mede play out on the battlefields of Tamriel. It would be really cool to see how people would react to something like that.

She'd start dating the Night Mother. After all, there is no stronger love than that between and betwix corpses!

She's also infamous. That's almost like asking what would happen in zombie Hitler tried to claim power in present day Germany. He would be executed immediately.

And thus a horrid image was delivered unto me by Namira herself.

EDIT: Gah! I meant Namira, not Vaermina. Its times like these I wish those two would get a little more screen time as opposed to Bal, Dagon, Sheo ect.

And then Sithis would kill them both. Or it would become a threesome.

It's kind of hard to beat the Daedric Princes of Domination and Enslavement of Mortals, Destruction and Change, and Madness. Even if Vaermina's Quagmire is probably scarier than Molag Bal's Coldharbour.

And even if she could, the Spetim Empire fell, she cannot lay claim to the throne anymore. In addition, I she may be related to Septim, but she couldn't be dragonblood as much as she wanted, as the AoK is gone, and therefore cannot perform the necessary rites. (agreeing with you, Trillid)

Falk Firebeard seems to think otherwise. He thinks a resurrected would be a great problem for the all people in Tamriel and that she would be the rightful Empress. The Septim Empire is also still around, it just has another ruling dynasty. At least that's what many people claim. So she would definitely have claim to the throne, and let's be honest here who would have a better claim then Potema after the dead of Titus Mede II???

correct me if i'm wrong but when they said "revived fully" I thought they include her in her flesh form before she died. So in other words, she won't look like a zombie.
