I was not lucky enough to have been born when the DOS was around so i am total newb at this type of game and keep getting killed by the most feeble of enemies.

can anybody offer advice/tips that will help me not die every 5 minutes?



p.s. i do have to say that the tutorial is really nice and goes into a lot of detail

How high did you put the reflex option? It's best to have it very low if you're new to the game. I had trouble killing the rat the first time, but the first time is the most difficult. Try rerolling if you find the character is not going to survive.

In some cases dying every five minutes is pretty much inevitable. It takes serious resistances to fend off ancient vampires, and many builds can simply never get close to them. In such cases you must save often, and with more than one savegame.

That said, if you're going to re-roll make sure to get the ebony dagger when answering the background questions. It's easily the best weapons you'll see for a few levels.

You can also learn to do most combat and take very few hits. Lots of swinging and moving back a couple steps so the monsters can't hit you.

For a melee fighter SPEED and Agility are very important (Personality is not).

Scratch that about not being born when the DOS was around, i was born the year Arena was made, What about the next 20 years? Scary stuff
