Post » Thu Jun 14, 2012 10:31 am

I just recently downloaded Daggerfall and started playing it on DosBox and when i press ALT+ENTER to put it to full screen, it does go to fullscreen but the the sides of the screen get cut off... if someone has a solution to this problem i would be greatly thankful because its hard to enjoy it this way

If you have a widescreen monitor it is because Daggerfall only supports 4:3 aspect ratios and not 16:9 widescreen. As far as I know there is no way around this.

In your dosbox.conf file, there is an option under [render] for aspect. Try changing it's value to whatever it isn't (true|false) and see if that helps. I'm playing DF on a widescreen monitor just fine--sure the image is a little stretched, but I don't mind. For me aspect=false works.

You'd rather have it stretched than pillarboxed? Why? Squashed games look just as bad as squashed TV.
