Warning Messages at TESCS Startup

Post » Wed Jun 13, 2012 10:59 pm

I am trying to finish a MW mod that I started years ago (2005) but haven't worked on since last November. I have since switched to a new computer with MW reinstalled and all my files transfered over, but when I start up TESCS, I get a whole series of Warning messages stating, "Following string is different for topic "someone in particular" etc. etc. etc.... Continue running executable?"

I've seen this before, but it's been so long that I don't remember what the cause was or how to fix it. I did a search and came up with nothing, so if someone can point me in the right direction, that would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Bloodmoon doess that. Put allowYesToAll==1 at the end of general section in your morrowind.ini to get past them.

Actually, it's having both Tribunal and Bloodmoon loaded that do that, but doing the yes to all and pressing cancel will bypass them. It will also bypass any other errors, so if you're having issues, check your warnings.txt file before you start up the CS again or the game.

Thank you very much guys! That did the trick. In fact, you reminded me that I had tweaked a few other things in that .ini file, as well, so I just copied in my old one, which took care of a couple of other errors, as well. Works like a charm now.

A few months in Skyrim and I guess all my previous knowledge (what little there was to begin with) flew out the window. :blush2: But it's nice to be back home!

Thanks again.
