1. DESCRIPTION

*****************************************************************

This mod repairs landscape seams that occur in the landmass added by
the Tamriel Rebuilt project as a result of the Morrowind engines' inability
to seamlessly blend more than 2 types of land texture simultaneously.
Landscape seams are most profound when using high resolution
textures and removing them will help enhance the general appearance of the
landscape and improve immersion into the game.

This mod is intended to work with Tamriel Rebuilt Sacred East ie the first
3 maps and effects repair work in 439 exterior cells , removing
many hundreds of texture seams during the process, Whilst this mod is
some way from a final release it will substantially reduce the number
of texture seams you encounter in game.

Both this mod and Tamriel Rebuilt are ongoing developments, future
releases may make this mod obsolete so always check for news on updates.
This mod is intended to work with the current release of the Tamriel Rebuilt
project which at time of writing is sacred East.

This mod supersedes my previous Texture Fix for Tamriel Rebuilt Map 1,
a version of which was incorporated into the Tamriel Rebuilt project.

2. INSTALLING THE PLUGIN

*****************************************************************

1. Download and install Tamriel Rebuilt Sacred East onto your PC.

2. Extract the Texture Fix - TR 2.0 .esm into the 'Morrowind/Data'
files directory.

3. From the Morrowind Launcher, select Data Files and enable
the Texture Fix - TR 2.0 .esm

4. Start playing

The Texture Fix - TR 2.0 .esm contains landscape data only and
will not invalidate savegames though you will get a harmless error message
telling you your mod list has changed if you uninstall, this will disappear once
you have saved your game without this mod installed.

*****************************************************************

3. KNOWN ISSUES

*****************************************************************

If you install mods that alter the landscape so that the appearance no longer
matches that on your minimap, then some explored areas may reset and you will
need to revisit them for your minimap to update explored areas. If you were to
install a mod that adds a town to an area you have already explored would you
want it marked on you map as explored when you haven't visited it yet ?
Should portions of your minimap reset after installing this mod it is because
of the crude way Morrowind reconciles land data with minimap data and is not a
bug.

*****************************************************************

4. VERSION HISTORY

*****************************************************************

2.0 Fixed many more texture seams across the whole of the Tamriel Rebuilt
landmass, whilst many areas have been improved the bulk of the repair work
in this update was done in the Helnim Fields,Mephalain Mountains and
Sacred Lands region. This mod now repairs landscape texture seams in a
total of 439 exterior cells.

1.0 Effected many hundreds of repairs to 319 exterior cells of the landmass
added by Tamriel Rebuilt's maps 1 V2.0 and map 2 V1.0.

Thank you for this update. I wasn't previously aware that there were seams in TR, although with a mod this big I guess it's almost inevitable.

yes,it is a mammoth undertaking,if we assume an average as few as 2 landscape texture seams per exterior cell then this suggests somewhere in the region on 3000 texture seams on the 3 maps so far released. With the early version of texture fix that was integrated into map 1 Telvannis ,plus this latest release i would estimate i have eliminated some where in the region of 1200 texture seams so far , so still some way to go yet, but substantial tracts of land have been cleared of seams so are not as prevalent as before.

They are very welcome to incorporate it into the main mod anytime they like, map 1 has got an early version of Texture Fix integrated into it already, but updates for TR are few and far between whereas by releasing a texture fix independently folks get some benefit from my work today. :)

Is the next step making it compatible with Map 3? (hopefully the old landscape textures haven't hanged too much with the update)

It is for the latest release of Tamriel rebuilt ie all 3 maps, bear in mind that the landscape texture painting implemented by the TR team resulted in thousands of texture seams blighting a magnificent landscape , whilst Texture Fix for TR was created with the limitations of the Morrowind engine in mind . There have been sweeping changes to the layout of textures which were necessary in creating a texture scheme that works well in conjunction with Morrowind's engine. Whilst play testing this in game i had have great difficulty in determining which was my work from the original it blends in that well. Cast doubts aside and give the mod a try because without it you face the trials and tribulations of shattered immersion and ruined screenshots, especially if using texture replacers :)

Yes, unfortunately referring to public releases as maps 1,2 ,3 etc does cause needless confusion but in reality is quite simple. The latest release of TR has all three maps merged together to create a single landmass so you do not need earlier releases of Tr for Sacred east to work. My mod fixes landscape imperfections across the whole of the Tr landmass created by SacredEast

That's great you've already started on Map 3.
No doubts here, I've been using your mods for a long time. I consider them essentials. :)

Thanks mate.

I take it that you haven't got much time to upload this on http://download.fliggerty.com/ yet and if that's okay with you I can do that.
