Yea, I'll take some that popcorn, too. Enjoying the show so far, Wyrd?
Hmm... I still play Morrowind because I like it. I still play Oblivion because I like it. I still play Fallout 3 because I like it. I don't play Pirates of the Caribbean because it is buggy and I don't like it. I don't go on forums and bash it because I don't like it .
Exactly.
I tried Drakengard or http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drakengard_2 long ago for about an hour, I thought it was the worst POS game ever. Lame, washed out backgrounds, the combat was also vague. Who cares if there's dragons in it eventually, what I saw was poorly-done, and I had no incentive to force myself to continue deeper into the game. No wonder it was in the bargain bin at my local GameStop.
I took it back to the store.
But one thing I did
not bother to do is seek out Drakengard forums to try to find other folks who agree with me. I got better things to do with my time.
Same goes with Dragon Age 2. Bought it. Put the disc in the slot. It just didn't interest me. This time, I did
not take it back to the store; I still have it, just in case I want to give it another try.
The OP might be happy to know (sarcasm) that I immediately put DA: 2 back in its case after ditching it from my PS3, and sought out my copy of TES IV, ASAP.
If you don't like Oblivion then don't play it. You have a right to express your opinion but at least do it without the cliches that have been discussed by everyone until they are blue in the face.
You know...I think that when gamers show up in a game's official forums, and then start putting down the game featured
by that game's official forums, that they're really just sad folk. They're sad folk who are
desperate to find like-minded gamers, because they have nothing better to do, I guess. In some cases, they think they're more charismatic than they are (Dutch Flamer), and they seem to actually think they can convince others to switch from loving a particular game to hating it. Their arrogance is so profound, they can't see anybody else's opinion but their own.
I can't wait to try Morrowind. Just to be able to say I still like Oblivion after doing so.
