Buffy's first mission after escaping prison was to earn enough money for ship passage home to Bravil. Simplicia the Slow told her that her two best options were to join either the prosttutes Guild or the Arena. Simplicia looked Buffy up and down, eyed the bow on the scrawny elf's back and suggested the Arena might be the safer choice and more attuned to her talents. Buffy had to admit that she had more experience killing men than, well, you know. So a single fight to earn some gold was her first mission.

Our favorite mission in the game is Sanguine's Daedric Shrine quest. Buffy planned and schemed for weeks figuring out how to pull it off without being getting in trouble. And she did! :twirl:

It's different every time, with different characters.

I suspect a lot of folk start "The Collector" first, just because Vilverin is the first thing you see. But that one takes a long time to complete!

For quests completed, most times, it's "Deliver the Amulet", just to get it out of the way, followed by "Chorrol Recommendation" as my characters usually want access to the Arcane University even if they're not going to carry on with the questline after that. But a few characters have stayed in the City, and in one case the first finished quest was the "Buy a house" one.

Exactly. At least 3 of my characters so far have never started any quests whatsoever.

But during my very first playthroughs of the game, I remember attempting the Unfair Competition one.

Favorite quests? Anything to do with Knights of the Nine and Hackdirt. I'm really bad at picking out favorites. Those are two "givens".

They're all different. I use a starting mod, so not all of my characters start in prison (although some of them do.)

Etta's first quest started in Skingrad, when she murdered a psychotic elf behind the chapel. She rose to the highest ranks of the Dark Brotherhood.

Fitzie's first quest was the Gravefinder's Repose (quest starting at the Roxey Inn.) She killed her Aunt Raelynn.

Barb-Ann got drunk on the way to Chorrol, and the first quest she accepted was the Shadowbanish Wine thing. She delivered the amulet a while later, lost all of her gear on the way to Kvatch, and had to go back to re-ask Jauffre what she was supposed to be doing.

Well on PC I have the mod that lets you start on a boat in Anvil, and from there on out depends on the character. Most of the time I don't really do quests at all.

Back on my 360 days I would always give Jauffre the emperors bling, but that was about it for most characters. And again, it depends on characters. :)

deliver the amulet, i don't like looking at it when i open my inventory. After that i join fighters and mages guild in chorrol, unless i'm playing a thief character then i just drop the amulet off.

Anymore i use a alternative start mod to arrive by boat, so it really just depends on the character

This. But for one of my current characters, (all on 360 mind you, who needs mods?) he was a slave who was sold to the Arena for fresh bodies, and earned his freedom by winning ten battles. He stayed in the Bloodworks the entire time, and only used the iron claymore that you could find there. He won his freedom, and is now a Knight of White Stallion and member of the Order of Virtuous Blood. :twirl: And he plays DiD. Those Arena battles for his freedom, were brutal. Within inches of his life every time, as he could not train, or anything.

Each character is different. For Baa, my main character, she did the Odill Farm thing first, then she gave the Amulet to Jauffre. My last character to start is a bit of a rogue and gave the Amulet to Jauffre first just to get rid of it. Then she started the Arena to advance her Fame to 15 so she could buy the Skingrad house, but has no intention of finishing the quest at the moment. Looking over her log book, it seems that Go Fish/Jewel of the Rumare quest is the only other thing she’s completed, and she was at level 34 when I put her into stasis after seven days of play.

Favorite Quest is Henantier’s Dream World.

Any roleplayer will tell you it's different with each character. The first thing each of my characters have done in their games has been as varied and unpredictable as the characters themselves. I use mods to start my characters in various locations around the game world so the majority of my characters have never set foot in the prison. Some of them have never so much as laid eyes on the White Gold tower.

I tend to like to create characters who stay in certain areas of the game world (if they will let me). One character started her life in Bruma and never left the Jerrol Mountains, another began in the wilderness outside Leyawiin and never went any further north than Bravil. When you play this way the first thing your characters do is always very different, of necessity.

First swim to Vilverin, kill some bandits, then enter Vilverin, kill bandits, undeads and a necromancer. Get the artifact and stones. Then going into Imperial City to sell stuffs.

Then doing Jensine quest, to get a cool stuff. Then sleep in Floating Bloat, kill some kids (they are kids actually), and get a cool sword. Then meet Umbacano for his quest.

If a quest triggered, i will help an Orc settling Watchguard problem. If not i just leave the city.

Then helping a fisherman to gather some fish scales, then get a useful ring that make me breathe underwater.

Then i raid some forts, caves and going hunting deers along the way to Chorrol

Generally one of the mages guild recommendation quests, since all my characters use magic. Although if my character isn't going to take part in the main quest I'll fast travel to weynon priory, deliver the amulet, then fast travel to the characters starting location.

Favourite mission? I'd have to say Whodunit?
