How do I edit unique items?

I would have thought there would be a list of them somewhere.

Check the Unofficial Elder Scrolls Pages for a list of unique items. How to edit them depends entirely upon what you want to do, but much can be done in the CS.

Thanks but I meant in the Construction set. I should have been more specific when I made this thread but I couldn't hear myself think at the time, sorry. I want to edit the stats and enchantments of items but I don't know how to use the construction set.

There are many tutorials for the CS. Check the pinned topics. To do exactly what you want and nothing more, however, this one should suffice. http://www.tamriel-rebuilt.org/index.php?p=modding_data/tuts/fusi/new_enchantments

I've looked at the tutorials in the pinned topic but they all seemed useless unless I wanted to make a house or something else specific and don't tell me how it works. If I'm going to recreate the unique items I want to replace how do I give it the right icons, models etc and how do I replace the original items? Forget it, this construction set is useless and so are the tutorials. I could easily work out how to edit most things in Rome Total War myself but on here I have to **** about just to get rid of the blind effect affect on the BOBS and make Umbra almost as good as Crsyamere. Thanks for trying to help though.

Did you actually read the tutorial I linked? It shows everything needed to make enchantments and add them to items. While it doesn't directly tell you how to edit the other stats of an item, it's done from the same window shown in the tutorial, so I figured it would be pretty obvious.

The page I linked was found at the bottom section. Kind of like the "Other" section. Nothing on the list directly matches you request, so you have to dig a little. The site I linked has many other tutorials, building housed included. If you want to change the models, icons ( which is much more than your initial post asked for ), you can do so from the same window shown in the post I linked. All items have similar windows, and everything about them is changed by it. That is about the limit of the CS. It's not useless. Bethesda pretty much made the game with it. Other things like creating new models, icons, and texture, need to be done in other programs.

To change textures, you need another program. NifSkope is a popular one. I think you can do it in a modeling program too. You could also edit hex values. If you want to create new meshes, you need a modeling program. Blender is a popular free one. Textures generally require an image editing program to modify. You can find many textures online, but most aren't ready to use without some editing.
