I have logitech 5.1 surround on my computer. Only when playing Oblivion I have to turn the volume settings all the way up, and I still can't hear the game as well as I would like to.

Go to Control panel > Sounds and Audio devices > speaker settings >advanced >Performance > decrease hardware acceleration to basic

try it...might work..
