Room bounds Issue...I think

Post » Thu Jan 14, 2010 9:50 am

I'm working on a bar that basically uses Moriarty's saloon as the base cell, I've changed the clutter, furniture etc. of course, but the layout is still the same.
My problem is, that whenever I walk inside, most of it is invisible untill I actually head into the nothingness and stuff pops up. I'm pretty sure it's an issue with room markers...which doesn't make any sense, they are exactly the same as in Moriarty's but they seem to have no effect.

I am not sure but you might have to reconnect the portals to the adjoining rooms. Do they lose there connections when copied?

By the way my terminoloigy may be off. Havn't messed with them for a while.

The interior isnt that big, so why not just delete any room markers/portals?

I suppose that's worth a try, might as well do it and see what happens, not like it gets any more messed up :P

EDIT: That did the trick, time for a lock

I agree, the saloon is really just too-small to worry much about it.

For modders I think the bar is lower on how optimized a mod needs to be to play smooth, as most modders have PC's that are very powerful, far more powerful than most console systems overall, so less optimization is needed.

You can always test it out and see if there is a big drop in FPS with no room bounds.

Luck!
