Geographic Features

Post » Thu Jan 14, 2010 9:02 pm

The thread concerning people's disappointment/happiness with the location of TES V in Skyrim got me thinking about all the cool geographic things that we could potentially see. I would love to see all of them, and the more I think about it, the more I want screen shots!!!!! What would you like to see?

Voted for all options obviously, since I think they all fit in the Skyrim lore.

Throat in the Mountain is probably going to be the main geographic feature we will see as its the 2nd largest mountain on the continent behind Red Mountain.

Iceland has lots of volcanos, and I think it would be good to see some in Skyrim.

right... just saying that if not done right, huge holes on top of a mountain with lava (deep) in them, could be cheesy, imo.

but, as said.. I love the idea...

Ah so the cheesy part is not the volcanos, but the devs approach...I agree but I also hope that if well done it would be a very cool place to visit.

I don't want volcanoes or hot springs. But I do want everything else.
A kinda made a similar thread before about unique landscapes. There are some other suggestions there as well: http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1150941-unique-landscapes-in-skyrim/page__p__16839645#entry16839645

Some combination of the Himalayas, Asia minor, and Peru is Skyrim.

Mars, too.

I also want marshy areas, essentially temperate swamps.

I voted for all. I hope they give hot springs regenerative qualities, as a lot of human cultures on earth attributed healing and even divine properties to hot springs, and even modern science affirms that bathing in hot springs is good for you.

EDIT: While we're at it, geysers would be cool, too, and would fit well with the setting.
