As you search the Waste Land you stumble across a book. The book isn't in perfect condition but it's readable. You open it and find out that it belonged to the Assassin. The second Lone Wanderer of the Wastes.

My 10th birthday
I just turned 10 today, and according to vault tradition, I got my new Pipboy 3000. It seems old though. All my friends have the Pipboy 3500. Amata, are overseer, told me that when I turn 19 that she will tell me why she gave me an older Pipboy than all the other boys and girls in the vault. I think that they just ran out of Pipboy 3100 and decided to give me this instead of making another one. They could have at least gave me the Pipboy 3400 from two years ago.
Well all my other presents were great. I got a BB gun from Dad. The cake tasted great. Andy began to cut it but then pieces of the cake flew everywhere. Some of it landed above my lips so at least I got a taste of it. The advlts say that he's been doing that ever since they got him and they never found out how to fix it.
Officer Gomez retired the day before and he gave me his old officer helmet. I thought that was kind of cool.

Something strange about my Pipboy
I was looking through my Pipboy and I found a few strange things. One thing was that my name wasn't on there. It was (Name Erased). But Dad told me how to change that. So now it says,"Owner: (Name Erased). Another thing I noticed was that the map showed more than the vault map. It showed locations out side the map and it even showed you were you were on the map and the direction that you're facing. I saw a place called "Megaton". It sounds like a bomb or something. But other than that I noticed a few cool things about it. It shows your health and the health of your body parts like: Legs, Arms, Head, and Torso. It also shows what i'm carrying. I had a packet of gum and it showed in the inventory tab that I was carrying a "Pack of Gum". I also noticed a radio. I was able to get into the Vault 101 PA system. It was just static at the time. Well I'm heading on to bed. Good night.

The G.O.A.T.
I had my G.O.A.T. test today. Agh it was horrible. It said that was going to be the Vault Waste Manager. But Mr.Botch said that the G.O.A.T. is bogus and that itt doesn't matter what you get. He said that he was told that he would get the same job but he's been a teach for the past 21 years. I thought he would have retired by now. That made me feel a bit better. At least we got the day off after that.
Butch's son Robert was picking on Amata's daughter Rachel before the test started. But I showed him what happens when he picks on my best friend. Nearly knocked him out.

My life changes
I was sitting in my room listening to some music when my life changed today. All of a sudden Mom and Dad couldn't breathe. I heard them yelling out to me, but my door wouldn't open. I was watching them through the window as they were coughing from lack of air. Then eventually they began to spew blood. I was watching them... crying. The last thing I heard from the was," I love you (Name unreadable due to tears)". Then they slowly died. Luckily they died in there room and I was in the living room. I ran for help. The technician managed to get the door open and said that the power in there room went out and the door, the lights, and the vent that gave them oxygen stopped working. I had to live on my own and after that the only door that I left closed was the door of the entrance to my home. It's been a rough day and now I'll head out.

My talk with with the Overseer (Amata)
I've been waiting 9 years but finally I'll know what Amata wanted to talk about 9 years ago. Well that was a few hours ago so I already know. She told me about this man named the Lone Wanderer. She said that he died 20 years ago. A year before I was born. She told me of his story. He gave up his life just to give pure water to everyone. I thought everyone already had pure water before that so what had happened before? She told me that Washington D.C., now called the Capital Wasteland, was a horrible place to live in. They had raiders, Super Mutants, and as many Mercs that the eye can see. People had trouble surviving while the rich had the luxury that everyone wanted and they didn't even care for anyone else. But once the Lone Wanderer made the water of Jefferson Memorial pure; the daily struggle of survival became a lot easier. But now that this has happened raiders, enclave, and all living beings have increased. Now there's even more Raiders, More Super Mutants, and a greater threat to the Capital Wasteland.
She told me that the reason why she gave me an older model of the Pipboy was because that Pipboy belonged to the Lone Wanderer, which explained why there were so many locations. She said that this Pipboy is much better then the others not because of it's technology but because of all the data that it holds. She said that I was a lot like him and that I reminded her of the days that he spent with her. As I am writing this, before I go to bed, I've been thinking of continuing the adventure and becoming the next Lone Wanderer. Thankfully I have been blessed with such great gifts. Ever since I got my BB gun I've made a makeshift shooting range in my bed room, so I've gotten real skilled with small weapons of the like. Amata gave me the Lone wanderers old 10mm Pistol that they found in his home at Megaton. I really wanna visit that place. She also gave me a book called the Wasteland Survival Guide. She said that he helped to make this book and that this is the first copy, which was also found in his megaton home. I've also been blessed with another great gift. The gift of sneak. I've been able to sneak around the entire vault without anyone noticing. Even in restricted areas. Lastly I got one last gift from my dad. The gift of a technician. One day my old BB gun broke and I managed to fix from parts that I found in my dads room. But now that I've proven to my self that I can handle this. I've decided that I will take up the adventure and become the next Lone Wanderer. I have decided to change my name to The Assassin.

The day before I leave
I talked with the Overseer and I managed to convince her into opening the vault so that I may leave and she also gave me a few more gifts. She gave me the Lone Wanderers old Dart Gun. She said to be careful wih it because the darts carried the venom of a Radscorpion and that once the victim is hit by this then they will slowly die from the poison. She also gave me an old rifle that seemed to have survived for over 200 or so years. She said that it belonged to our famous 16th president Abraham Lincoln, who is also known as Honest Abe. Probably because he was really honest. She said that the Lone Wanderer found it in some museum in the Downtown area and was gaurded by several Feral Ghouls. And lastly she gave me this robe and hood. The hood to conceal my Identity and the robe that comes along with it. She then gave me some supplies and food. She told me to go streat to megaton and put a marker over where it should be. The marker made a dotted path that followed the road that led up to it. Then she gave me a note and told me that if it was given to Sheriff/Mayor Simms then he would give me the Lone Wanderers old home. I then went to my apartment, packed up some stuff, and tried to go to sleep for tomarrow will be a big and long day.

My Arrival in Megaton
I got up this morning with my stomach in knots. Wondering what will happen when I leave and what the outside world looks like. As I walk to Amata's Office i say good bye to everyone. When I said goodbye to Butch and his son Robert wanted to give me something. I was surprised. I guess that me leaving made him realize that he was gonna miss me. He told me to give him my pistol and he would add something to it. So I gave him the pistol and he went into his father's room I looked through the window and I saw him carry a black cylinder object he placed it on the pistol and he came and told me that he added a silencer to it and now when you shoot it no one will know other than you. I said thanks and left. I went to the office and told the Overseer that i'm ready to go. I Put everything I had in my bag and I kept my rifle on my back. I put on the helmet before I left. Then Amata told me to hold on a minute and she gave me an Armored vault 101 Jumpsuit. I said thanks. She typed a few things on her computer and then the desk began to rise and stairs appeared which led to the door of the Overseer's Secret Tunnel. She led the way pushed a button on a wall and a part of the wall rose and made a path to the Vault Door. She pulled a switch on this panel and the door began to open. She hugged me and said good bye. I said good bye back and walked through the tunnel half way out the Vault Door began to close. I got to the end of the tunnel and opened the door stepped out and thought I went blind. My eyes eventually got used to the rays of the sun I closed my eyes took a deep breath of fresh air. I opened my eyes and saw the Wasteland before me. It was a great view of a horrible place. I saw ruined structures that I've never seen before. I looked at my Pipboy and I just remembered what I needed to do. I went into my notes Tab and made a note of that I needed to go to megaton. I went down the hill then followed the path. The pavement eventually led to a dirt road which led up a hill. I saw a sign that said Megaton ->. I followed the dirt path and I saw this metal structure an old dirty robot stood there and greeted me. He wasn't like Andy though. He talked in a lifeless monotone voice. He showed me the entrance opened the gates I looked up and saw a man. I assumed he was the watch guard. As soon as I entered A man with a Hat and a Coat came up to me and greeted me. He said that he was Sheriff Simms and Mayor when the time came. He talked to me for a bit and showed me around. I gave him the note that Amata left me and he said," Yes I see. I remember that man. He saved our little town from a great threat. You see that bomb in the middle? Well a man named Mr. Burke wanted to blow it up. He even payed the Lone Wanderer 500 caps to blow it up. Luckily He told my dad of what he wanted to do. So he took him to Mr. Burke and he arrested him. But as soon as my dad turned his back Mr. Burke shot and killed him. The Lone Wanderer the killed Mr. Burke then disarmed the bomb talked to me and I told him that my dad would want to give him the house and some caps. Now I'm going to give it too you." So I took the keys and the deed to the house. He showed me where it was and I entered. As soon as I entered a robot like Andy greeted me and said," Hello Master!" I said hello and he asked me if I needed anything. I said no and I began to look around the house. A cabinet with tons of food. A refrigerator, running water, cups, plates, crates, forks, knives, two chairs with a table and a T.V. (Sadly it didn't work). A bedroom with a desk and sma \ll room with a couch a chair a table and some storage. Now I've settled down and right now I'm on my desk and since I plan to be a professional at this I have decided to set some standards. But as I searched for a separate sheet of paper. I found a combat knife in one of the droors. I began to wonder what else was around and I found a sniper rifle along with some ammo in one of the lockers (It must have been left by the Lone Wanderer).
Here are the rules for The Assassin:
The goal of The Assassin: The goal of The Assassin is to rid the Capital Wasteland of the threats that it presents.
1. No innocent blood will be spilled by the hands of the Assassin.
2. When facing a hostile, you must be as stealthy as possible and cause the least amount of attention.
3. Before entering an outside hostile area, you will use your sniper rifle to watch the paths of your target(s) and you will also plan your path while doing this. Shooting from such a far range is optional.
3. When your presence has not been giving away and you are trying to kill a hostile. The stealthiest way is to walk up behind him and knife your target. This is always considered first.
4. If sneaking up to someone and knifing them is not possible then you will use your silenced pistol or dart gun to pick them off.
5. If there is one man left then you are given the option to make this easier for yourself. You may use the dart gun to shoot the man then hide and wait for the poison to get to him.
6. If your cover is blown then you may use your rifle to kill off the enemies before they kill you.
7. If a strong enemy (For example a Super Mutant) is too far away to knife and your pistol is too weak then using the rifle is permitted.
8. The dress code of The Assassin is Hood and Robe. The Hood to hide your Identity and the Robe to reduce the sound of your movement.

The start of my first Mission
I've begun my mission to rid the wasteland of raiders and mutants. I began by asking around town and seeing if anyone knew anything about the wastes, but I was distracted by the things that this town holds. I found the church of atom. They worshiped the unarmed bomb of Megaton. They are such foolish people. I found a clinic, a supplies shop, and a bar along with a few restrooms near by. I went into the bar and I talked to Moriarty after he realized that I was new. He seems to be alright. I asked him a couple of things and he told me to talk to Jericho. He said that he used to live out in the middle of the wastes and that he might have a lot of information for me. He was sitting over in a chair in a corner a few feet a way form me. I walked over to him and he introduced himself and told me that he hasn't seen me before. I told him that I used to live in Vault 101. He said," Ah yes. Looks like we got another on of you down here." I asked him if he knew someone from the vault and he mentioned the Lone Wanderer. So we talked for about 15 minutes. I told him about my mission and then I asked him if he knew of any raiders near by. He just laughed. About a minute later he stopped and everyone stopped staring at him. He then said," Why the hell would you want to go to a place like that! Those camps are just filled with a bunch of maniacs who will only stop harassing you when they die!" He began to smile a bit and continued," Oh man, you gave me quite a laugh. Well it looks like you got the guts to go out there on your own. Alright, alright... I'll give you a few camps that I know of." He paused for a moment to try to remember all the names. He brought his head up and finally replied," Ok... Let me see your little Pipboy there so I can show you where to go." He began to point at a few markers on the map. Then he said" First I suggest going over to Springvale School. It's not to far away from here and there aren't TOO many of them. About 10 to 12. Luckily for you they're separated a bit because of all the hall ways. There is a camp behind the school so don't forget to check there as well. Also go over to Fort Bannister. It's a bit risky so I suggest heading over there during a storm. Also there's a Brotherhood Outcast camp near by. They might be able to get you some supplies. That's if there not dead yet." He moved his finger over to this place in the North West region of the map, "You also might wanna check out a place called Big Town. Now don't let the name fool you. It's smaller than Megaton. Don't ask me, I don't know why they call it Big Town. They have some supplies up there as well and you might find a few raider camps up there a long the way. Also follow this river. You might find a few camps around there as well. And lastly go over to this armory north of Bethesda Ruins which is North of Super Duper mart which is East from here." I began to walk away when suddenly Jericho said one more thing," Oh I almost forgot. Go do some exploring. You never know what you might find out there. Talk to Moriarty. He might know a thing or two. So I went over to Moriarty but he said he was to busy to talk at the moment. There weren't a lot of people here so I guess something was on his mind. So I decided to rest up for tomorrow cause that's when I will truly begin my mission. As I'm going to bed my Pipboy made a beep. I looked at it and a message popped up. It said I found a new radio signal. So I went over to the radio tab and a new name popped up. It was called Galaxy News Radio. I turned it on and it sounded like the radio over at the bar. The signal was kind of weak though. I really like that station. It helps.

Springvale School
I woke up this morning feeling a little sore. I must have slept wrong or something. I get dressed into my hood and robe. Bring my combat knife, , pistol, and sniper rifle. The rest will stay here. This is what i'm carrying until I get a better pistol. I walk out of my home get some breakfast noodles as breakfast from the outdoor restaurant. I walk to the gates with my knife by my side, my pistol in it's holster, and the sniper rifle on my back. I just hope to not run into to many enemies. If I do I don't have a single grenade to defend my self if they all decide to group up. Well I watch the gates open while my stomach is up in knots. I begin to head toward Springvale. As I walk there I run into a mole rat. One shot in the head will do. The first shot missed alerting it. It's starts running at me. I take out my knife and stab it in the back. I move on making sure that my aim is better. I also make a note to myself to remember every single bullet that I use. 1 bullet used. I see the rocket of the gas station just above the hill. I get to it. Turn the right and I see the school. As I walk to the school I see a home that's somehow intact. I go inside finding nothing but a dead body. The brains of the women was splattered all over a chair that she was sitting in. I wonder if the Lone Wanderer had anything to do with it. I find a note that says she owes money to Moriarty for... I'd rather not speak of it. I walk out. Now that I think about it I should have searched the place. Oh well maybe some other time. I head over to the school. I set my stealth mode on. I open the doors and enter the building. The very first thing I see is a few large cages with mutilated bodies. Some just laying still on the floor while others are either hanging from the ceiling or nailed to the two pillars in this room. My first impression of these raiders is this. I am utterly disgusted of these people. How can they do such things to innocent lives. I crouch my way to the door to my left since it seems to be the only way I can go. I crouch to the door and I see another door way that leads into another room, but just before I move on a Raider enters the other room. I immediately hide and listen for some foot steps. They seem to be getting closer. Then according the sounds of his feet it seems that he is walking away. I take a risk and look around the corner. He didn't notice me. I begin to proceed to sneak behind him. As I take out my knife from my side, I begin to hear my heart pounding against my chest. It sounded like a clock developed in cotton. THUMP-THUMP...THUMP-THUMP... Before I realize it I'm only a few feet away. He stops. He begins to turn around and I enter a state of thinking 50 thoughts at once within this one second. I begin to think that if he catches my I might end up like all the others who got in there way. I managed to get back to reality and within half a second I stab. He falls dead on the floor. I looked around to see if anyone noticed, but I was unnoticed. But I turn around and notice that I was at the end of the hallway. I went back to see what was in that room but all I found was some darts, jets, beer, a bed, a dead body, and a mole rat laying dead on a table with a knife in its throat. For a while it was just a bunch of crouching, sneaking, stabbing, and searching. I eventually found a set of stairs that led to the next floor. I went up and found what appeared to be a small Library. But that I wasn't alone. There were two Raiders making rounds. I looked around the corner when ever they weren't looking. I really didn't want to be noticed. Why? One of them had a combat shotgun while the other had a hunting rifle. If I was noticed the next thing that I would know is I would be tortured and slowly mutilated then eventually die from all the pain and suffering that they may cause. Anyway... Where was I... Ah yes. I would look around the corner whenever they weren't looking and then I eventually found a pattern to the way they moved. Both would circle around the two bookshelves in the middle of the room. So I decided that when both of there backs were turned I would make my move. After a wait that seemed like for ever my chance had arrived. I sneaked behind one. Stabbed him and before the other could turn around I quickly drew my pistol and shot him in the head. One of them had a key. I wondered what it was for. Eventually I found another set of stairs that lead to the basemant. It was filled more raiders that I killed and more areas for me to search. The basemant eventually lead me to back to the first area that I was at. I found another set of stairs that lead me up to the second floor. From there you can jump onto the two cages. Before I jumped I found a Nuka-Cola Machine. There were about 3 Nuka-Colas in there. I Then saw a few things on top of the cages. It looked like a box with one more Nuka-Cola. So I decided why not. I jumped over there and to my surprise I found a Nuka-Cola Quantum. I was kind of excited cause not only these are so rare but I've never tasted one. It was glowing blue and it was so inviting. I had to take it. So I took it and decided to drink it later. I decided that this was enough for today then I just remembered. Jericho told me about that area in the back. I went out of the school and walked around the building to my right. I found the camp. There were 3 Raiders. One on the first floor on the second and the last in a used to be underground floor. When the Raider on the 2nd floor wasn't looking I managed to sneak around and shoot the one on the first floor with my pistol. I then proceeded to sneak into a position to where I can get the one on the second floor. I managed to do that and with a little PEW from the sniper rifle I managed to kill him. Somehow the third just ignored it thinking that it was the Raider that just died who fired his rifle. He eventually went into this room with an open roof. I went up to the hole and spied on him. When his back was turned I jump down and stabbed him before I hit the ground. Today was a good day. I went back home and went over the spoils that I collected. I got some ammo... stimpacks... radaway... and some random items that I thought that I could sell over at the supplies shop. Well it's time to get ready for tomorrow.
