TES: Arena Music

Post » Sat Jan 16, 2010 1:46 pm

Just got home from work and decided to play around with the Arena install program. I remember reading somewhere to try the "General MIDI or MPU-401" option for the music instead of the standard SB-16, and Holy Crap! The music is Wayyyyyyy better like this! Everything is so much fuller sounding and I can appreciate the soundtrack so much more!

It's just too bad that I just now tried this, as I am almost ready to go into Dagoth-Ur for the 8th staff piece. I will have to travel to some of the other provinces just to hear some of the other music before I finish the game now!

Really? O_o

I always preferred Arena on Soundblaster. I just did. I do prefer Arena's dungeon "music" though in General MIDI/MPU-401 form though.

I've never finished Arena, but I'm almost positive you can continue to play after you beat it. I just thought I'd let you know.

Well that's true. I know I can keep playing....it's just that I am too excited to start playing Daggerfall after Arena. I was rooting around my Mom's house the other day an Lo and Behold, my Stepdad had a copy of Daggerfall buried in a box of CDs, which just gave to me....and it works like a dream on my PC.

Got to finish Arena first.....but Daggerfall! Here I come!

Arena is too monotonous for me. My record is 2 Staff pieces or so.
