More Nerevarine?

Ha, that was hardly mean. I didn't call you an idiot, that would have been mean.

Sry, but I think it's tactless to call anyone an idiot.

I think hearing about the Nerevarine is as far as it will go. After such a long time he/she might be dead. And Nerevar 2.0 could have been any race and either gender. Unless he/she showed up as an androgynous armored warrior or blurry spirit, people would be unhappy.

Nery had that disease of the Gods if my memory serves me, so he is immortal I think, or at least long lived (can be 1000 years old)

We might hear of some things, but remember - since the Nerevarine's whole self changed depending on what person played Morrowind, it's super unlikely we'll see him. But maybe we'll hear some things or a "you just missed it! The Nerevarine juggled bottles, spit fire, and chewed a Dremora's head off all at once!" thing.

More like "You just missed him taking days to build himself a home out of books and pillows!"

Rumors that the Nerevarine traveled to Akavir. Will this play a role in Skyrim?

I hope so!

It would have been more likely in Oblivion we're 2 games deep by Skyrim and events have gone much further than Red Mountain and the blight. We'll probably see a book like Warp in the West more likely for both the Dagoth Ur crisis and the Daedric invasion.

A far away, ghostly voice: "You are the Nerevarine. We are all the Nerevarine".

(I feel all mystical). :spotted owl:

We are legion!

And now I can clearly see,
why multiplayer would have been
a very bad idea in Morrowind...
well,
at least pleasant probaly for Dagoth Ur...
so many annoying Nerevarines. XD

My question is: Why would Nerevarine decide to leave his beautiful vacation spot to go to Skyrim? Thats like leaving the Bahamas in winter to go to Maine. It's colder in summer there than it's colder in winter in the Bahamas.

So if this is true, would we be able to use our Morrowind character in the Skyrim game then? It can be an NPC that we encounter or have to play agaisnt per chance?

Honestly, I don't think we see the Nerevarine ever again...

But they still can canonize him / her...
Put him in as an NPC, Companion or Enemy
Or there could be a simple quest...
Or even nothing of the above...

It's all speculation :)

If it's been 200 years then... Would he or she even be alive? Hmm...

There should be a "Hmmm...?" option for those who have absolutely no idea what a nereveriane is (1 vote already).

If you don't know who the Nerevarine is you really need to play more TES.

Sure, the Nerevarine was infected with the corpus disease and was partly cured, what means in short that he or she can't die from old age.

Or is an elf not of the Wood Elf persuasion. Remember - Dark Elves, High Elves, and even the Dwemer (if they didn't go and make a skin suit out of themselves for Numidium, that is) have life spans that can easily reach 1000 years. That sorcerer who helped cure the Nerevarine partly of Corpus was supposed to be nearing his 1000th year, I believe.

Yagrum Bagarn is probably a good example of a Dwemeri who lived a long life THEN got infected with Corpus, so likely his lifespan was doubled. And all this by the time the Nerevarine was just getting his train chugging.

So it's most definitely easily possible for the Nerevarine to be alive, if either one assumes Corpus had no age effects on him and he was a Dark Elf (doubt the Nerevarine would be canonized as a high elf, sorry) or as another species who just got Corpus.

Still highly unlikely we'd see him. It's one of Bethesda's gigs - remember, Uriel Septim (the one who died in Oblivion) was the same Uriel who was imprisoned in Oblivion (the plane) by Tharn in the first game. So in theory it might be possible to meet the hero from the first game, given he's probably 50-70 by now. (Uriel was in his late thirties to anywhere in his forties, by the time he was imprisoned, I believe) But we'll never see him, or the hero from Daggerfall. Of course...we are in the ESV forum where the game is now 200 years or so later, so...maybe I should just say that all the heroes but the Nerevarine are prolly dead by now. I was kinda going with "Oblivion is still current 'cause ESV isn't out yet" with my references to time events.

You Morrowind character can be your character in Skyrim if it strikes your fancy, as it does mine. I've been using the same character in every game since Arena, minus Redguard, both because you have to be Cyrus in Redguard and because it's the one TES game I haven't played.

If the dragons are related to Akavir, maybe. Other than that, no.

I'd say you're right on that. While Skyrim may have dragons in it, unless those dragons are connected to Akavir, I doubt there will be a direct relationship between these events and the Nerevarine going to Akavir. After all, just because Akavir is named for dragons does not mean all dragons are related to Akavir, because this is not the case.

If it's been 200 years then... Would he or she even be alive? Hmm...

I think the first question we should ask is, has it actually been 200 years at all? And assuming it is, corprus would allow the Nerevarine to still be alive, assuming he did not die from other causes, seeing as corprus is supposed to make people immune to the effects of age, and the Nerevarine was not actually cured of corprus, just that the negative symptoms were removed, which would presumably mean the whole aging thing still remains. Of course, the Nerevarine could still die from violent causes, just as you can still kill corprus victims through weapons or magic, though I highly dout we'll see the Nerevarine in the game since that would mean defining a character for the Nerevarine, something Bethesda has always avoided for the protagonists of past games. We might hear rumors of the Nerevarine, or we might not, but I doubt we'll see him as an NPC in the game.

He could come back as a Corprus Stalker cameo in some old Dwemer Ruin (assuming Dyviath Fyr (sp?) did a bogus job of healing him):

From player journal:
"I open the giant steel door. The foul stench of rotten flash comes from the other side. But behind me are those... things. I have to go in. I slam the door shut behind me. I hear a deep breathing and moaning behing me. I quickly turn, raising my sword. It was here I saw... B'vek! What is this thing? 'The Nerevarine'? What? OH I GET IT!!! Ha ha ha!"

I'd love to hear rumor of his/her journey, but not meet him. Why? I love the mystery.

This. Couldn't see any reason to include him/her in the game, even if he/she has something to do with dragons. Would like to hear it as a rumour if it is still relevant/the nerevarine is still alive at all.

I think that it will be cool if we can hear some more rumors about him/her, or even see him/her for a very short time helping the player for a difficult fight. It's gonna be a sweet little tribute and two heroes joining forces - can't be more epic than that. Those guys are true heroes, they've saved Tamriel countless times, and people should at least talk about them.

They should not reveal what race/six the Nerevarine is, but hearing about him and his feats would be awesome, since the Nerevarine is my favorite character. He's also immortal right? So he couldn't have died of old age.

I cannot vote. I would like to see but I do no believe that we will.

Your poll seems to be on whether or not we will, but the brackets suggest the question is whether or not we want to.

I love the Nerevarine (he was cliche, but unique gift-wrapped enough to counter-act it). I really just want to hear rumors. I write fan-fic, and have included him before (he gave a protagonist Trueflame)

none. The nerevarine is retired, and playing shuffleboard on Akavir.

They're all saying how he left Morrowind in Oblivion so I speculate he is. :P
