 wait you mean by "unique character" 10's in all the SPECIAL stats and 100's across the board? Sure I guess....The stories in the originals was all about how you effect it. In FO3 you barely if at all effect it. Just compare the endings of the originals to the ending of FO3 vanilla and you can see. What do you get good karma/bad karma slides, then FEV slides, then Sacrifice slides. What did you get in the originals? You see slides of each town you effected and how they prospered/fallen. You got to see how your actions effected various important characters you meet. You also see how it all comes together in the near future.

They do have slides for each of the towns. They flash at the end of the Karma slide. But I agree they should of given a description of what you did in the town like in the old Fallouts.

They flash with no narration, showing pretty much only what you did in the town, not saying how it affected the future of said town at all. So it's nothing like Fallout.

Ugh, this is repeated ad effing nauseam. It's clear what Todd had in mind when shooting for the FO license.

I find it pretentious to say that you adore a game and then proceed to make it unrecognizable.

What a bunch of hypocrites. They bit more than they could chew and Zeni's monies really sold the game, not their brilliant design.

They should do a Terminator rpg, not change FO to their liking. But what's done 's done. Shoot me, flame me, let's party.

I know what you mean, I know I read some where that a person would not be able to master all skills :shakehead: , but that went right out the window, along with any sort of RPG system that mean anything.
But you are right, its already done. :yuck:

And some people act like we should  to Beth for what they did, because the series was dead, better dead than a shadow of what it used to be I say.

That's just today's game design philosophy. Don't punish the player for their bad choices, don't give them too many this-or-that choices, don't make things too hard, etc. It's a sad thing, I agree, but Bethesda isn't alone in this. Everything is always geared at casual gamers who drop the game at the smallest frustration.

Sad consequence of the market getting too big, I figure. That and developers' opinion of the average gamer is pretty low, heh.

Yeah, at least older RPGs came with an IQ test at start-up that prevented one from starting the game if the score fell below 100.

Well I won't argue with you on that one. But I do think people should strive to raise their standards, instead of enjoying everything being brought down to their level.

Hardly elitist to point out that games have become a heck of a lot easier and more casual friendly.

Enough. This is closed before it gets to "handing out warning/suspensions" stage.
