You're not technically prophet. You're prophet in Alcatraz's body, or rather Alcatraz with Prophet in his mind.

Yeah. Why can't people realize, that it's Al's body, but Prophet personality and memories are stored in the suit, which Alcatraz is trapped in.

It's many years after Crysis 2.

ehhhhh, not in the suit (at least not anymore) it Alcatraz completely (Body and mind) but with Prophet (memories, personality, experiences, etc) stored with Alcatraz' mind. Hence, the "Assimilation complete" (Assimilate meaning to integrate; i.e The Nanosuit integrated Prophet into Alcatraz' mind)

True though I think that more of was the Assimilation of the alien-spore for reprogramming. The DNA you see from time to time on the screen was the Nanosuit 2.0 working on rewriting the Spore. Thats what creates confusion for a lot of gamers. There is a lot and maybe too much subtle things in Crysis 2 for most normal shooter fans. I find its more like a good book. You got to reread or replay to get what REALLY going on. Oh and read Crysis: Legion. Explains A LOT.

Actually Alcatraz is dead, but the suit is keeping him animated while Prophet's mind utilizes the whole thing as a vessel. There ain't much left of "Al" than a body

On the official page its saying "Return to the fight as Prophet" but it doesn't means that you now play with prophet and he took over Alcatraz.

At the end of Crysis 2 we got introduced to ah person named Karl and when he asked the name of our protagonist he answered with "They call me Prophet", therefore the birth off an new Prophet for the next game.

But I do hope that with this they bring back ah personality to the protagonist because that was something I really missed in Crysis 2 and really enjoyed in Crysis 1 and especially Crysis warehead Psycho rocks You Muppets xD

Thank you. Alcatraz isn't dead (body or mind). Alcatraz takes on the name Prophet (i.e "the birth of a new Prophet")
