LR will be the last FO content for quite some while, makes m

I'll live. Hopefully we'll see great fan-made content for New Vegas in the upcoming years, and it'll have me coming back over and over. Also, lack of a new Fallout installment quickly after New Vegas will allow the community to mature more and to not be as abandoned as the Fallout 3 modding community is. At least, I hope.

It'll probably be a long wait for FO4, but Skyrim should keep me busy for at least a year

I'll start a new game after LR. Going to do FO3 and FNV with a new character.
Thanks to Requiem for the wasteland I can do that now, and it's been a while since I was in the Capital Wasteland. I'm hoping for e new kind of experience travelling back and forth.

And I hope that keeps me busy until Skyr... euhm... the other Bethesda game that I won't mention is out :P

At least with the DLCs and maybe a GOTY version, this game lifespan lasted for quite a while, hell, F:NV was ranked 8 in the top sales in July and the Xbox Live stats show that F:NV is currently among the top 20 most played games on 360.
For a nearly 1 year old game, single player only, it's quite impressive, and I'm sure people will still play it in the next couple of years, at least like that it will shorten our wait for the next Fallout.

I'm thinking FO4 would be released early to mid 2013. The reasons being, the new game engine is out and already being tested in Skyrim. Bethesda takes 4 - 5 years to release new updated games in their current series. Remember FO3 came out 2008 - 2009 with all the DLCs, so 4 - 5 years later would put FO4 out sometime in 2013. (Obsidian made FNV, so you can't count that as part of Bethesda's game release cycle.)

More dlc seems unlikely as Bethesda has already put everything behind launching skyrim and other new releases.

But F:NV DLC's are Obsidian, not Bethesda, right?

It'll be bad practice to sit back 4 years, especially given current markets.
EA's lunch a title in a series every 6 - 12 months is just as bad but brings in capital.

I'd hazard a poor guess and say Beth is looking to launch one game from it's two big established universes a year.
Alternating them to be FO, TeS, FO end of the year launch dates around christmas.

This does not mean they're rushing them, different teams.
Plus because of the delay of Skyrim after Oblivion and NV being out sourced.
They would be be starting a new product with roughly twice the time, leaving fans unaware of when it was first started.

It pains me. Sadly, I'm not on PC so I can't download the spectacular mods the community has made, which is even worse D:
That's why I want to get a good PC, so I can buy F:NV and get mods for it.
