NCR allied with the courier.

Well I've completed Fallout New Vegas many times now. However a few days ago I picked it up again. Having getting back into the game I've got a question. Do you think the NCR are to dependant on the courier for help?. If so why are they so dependant?.

The courier is not a full member of the NCR so why does they chose to use him in so many of there important missions and give him so much free run of there base camps. I am an NCR support I belive they will bring real law to the wastelands and it might be hard to get there but in the end it will be fair and better for everyone. I just feel without been a member in the NCR army the courier is called on to much. Why do you guys think that is?

To be fair, and I am not an NCR lover, they're mostly using him to do some wetwork on the side. Little of what the Courier does for them (whacking House, dealing with the Kings, Khans, and Brotherhood, etc.) is particularly vital to winning the Second Battle of Hoover Dam, it's just to make securing the Mojave afterward easier. NCR is stretched thin as it is due to the war and they can't afford to divert any troops to those efforts. So they'll instead use one seemingly tough and resourceful free agent to do their dirty work. If he succeeds...great! If he fails and gets killed in the process, well, it's no skin off NCR's nose.

What he said pretty much. Most of what you help them with is stuff the NCR would get too in time, and are mostly just a " pain in there backside" type of thinks that are fairly minor compared to the bigger stuff they are dealing with.
