The direction and evolution of TES

TES is my favorite favorite favorite game series. By a longshot. But I am sceptical on the way it is going. Though I love TES, TES online looks to me that BGS looked at WoW, which looks and plays terribly in my opinion, so don't hate on me, and said we can do that. The way it looks you should not have done it I am a huge fan and have played them all. Though some are hard to play now a days lol. But my concern is that TES online is going to ruin the series from here on out. And I really hope it doesn't but I can't help but worry. I would love to have a multiplayer or co op element but a whole online rpg I don't think is the right move. I've talked to a ton of people and they 9 times out of 10 agree. If you don't agree don't hate I'm just a concerned voice and I'd like to hear everyone's thoughts. Thank you

BGS looked at WoW
BGS did not look at WoW because BGS is not making Elder Scrolls Online. Zenimax is making Elder Scrolls Online.

It's a money grab, just like all MMO's are.

I will keep buying the single player TES games but I won't spend a dime on that MMO.

MMO's restrict player freedom too much, because they have to. I play these games for the freedom they give you, you're actions matter and the world changes based on what you do and you can effect other people however you want to. Ultima Online tried this in 1996 and was one of my favorite games of all time but they had to cater to the larger carebear audience just like all the MMO's do now.

Your information to back yourslf up is invalid, those people could be in the same region, have near-same preferences, etc. It would only ruin if it somehow interfered in creating new lore etc. but imo I wouldn't connect it with the actual TES series if they did such a thing, which I doubt. Don't worry.

its looking like its going to draw alot of inspiration from dark ages of camalot, which was a good mmo. would fit with TES style and be fun. i just wont play cus MMOs are sinkholes for money, and take more time then im willing to devote to it.
