Morrowind Idle Animation

Post » Sun Jun 17, 2012 8:34 pm

Does anybody have a mod that replaces the player character's idle animation to match NPC's relaxed animation? Preferably one that useds Liztail's animation kit. Thank you.

Well there are different idle animations. Everytime you change weapons you are using a different animation (From hand to hand, one handed, two handed close and two handed wide, along with ready spell and plain idle) so there isn't a simple replacer. However I do think someone made an animation that replaces the one handed animations and running animations.

I'm talking about the simple standing idle animation (Relaxes, shifts weight, etc.) replacing the Player character's stiff idle animation. No weapon drawn or anything.

I don't think it can be done - have tried scripting idles for the player but never had any success - this has been asked before and there has never been an answer

However - if you discover how to do it then i will want your autograph - well at least your mod that does it

do you mean http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Tu2w-47gpc&feature=youtu.be?

but then not only the pc would do that, but also all the other creatures that use the biped animation (liches, golden saint, dremora etc...)

the only idle the pc can play, is the base idle. So I loaded the xBaseanim.kf and renamed the idle2 as idle and Idle as idle2.

I believe that you have to change the animations for the NPC "player" in the CS to assign new animations to the player without assigning them to NPCs in general. There's a player animation mod floating around somewhere that was able to add new combat animations to the player. Adding idles shouldn't be any different.
