Brotherhood of steel was the first fallout for consoles, from what I heard, it practically butchered fallout lore, and poor gameplay.

I bought a copy when it first came out, and then returned it a couple days later. :)

I originally thought it might show some promise when it first came out - a more action-packed Fallout spin-off with gameplay along the lines of the newer Bard's Tale/ Baldur's Gate console games (which I very much enjoyed.) Disregarding anything else, it just didn't work as that sort of game. I found the mechanics weren't very well polished, and it just wasn't a very fun game to play.

Any of that might have possibly made up for the fact that they really didn't seem to grok what Fallout was all about. Beyond some key iconic features (like Power Armor, Supermutants, and VaultBoy) it really could have been just another generic post-apocalyptic game. I thought, at least. The art direction overall just didn't feel much like a Fallout game.

I thought it was fun, not the best most polished game, and as it is a spin off lore in it doesn't matter much, its pretty neat.

You should have demanded $50 in waste disposal fees.

If you still need to ask.

Yes :P

Honestly, I've never played it. And am still willing to. But, I'm more than aware of the overwhelming opinion that it is..beyond terrible, I'll wager :P

Having the store pay you to take it away? Yup, it means its "unfit for human consumption".

Well, I found it to be an ok game. Although, to be fair (And I'm ashamed to admit this) it was the first Fallout game I played.

Same here and I'm not ashamed to say so. It's what got me into Fallout in the first place. Though it's nowhere as good as Fallout 3, I thought it was an enjoyable game, though it seems short now. On a trivial note, I liked the vault design in BoS better than the one in FO3 - once you got past the door. I preferred the mostly-white decor over FO3's fairly depressing bare-steel walls.

I'm aware that 99,9% of the oldschool fallout fans will bash my head in (especially Ausir) for saying this, but I actually enjoyed it as a decent hack and slash arpg back in 2004. It's definitely not a "real" fallout game but fun nonetheless.

I saw the BHoS trailer on You Tube.
It looks TERRIBLE! Fallout 3 looks like an "ain't broke don't fix it" sequel in comparison!
