[REQ] Sunglasses for people who dont like hats?

Anyone know how to create these or can create a file in which all sunglasses have some DR on it?
Nothing OP, just like 1-2 or 3 DR.

I really like the hats in fallout 3 and am not looking to wear any of them really, but sadly im forced to thusfar.

any help in creating or perhaps locating such a mod?

That would be some uber sunglasses.
I was thinking, maybe you can use a console command or make a mod that removes the headwear only visually. So you would technically still wear it and benefit from its effects but you wouldnt see it. This would also be nice in conjuction with the hair mod that i use (i go bald when i wear a hat, and a cap will go through my hair).

Make the hats/helms not have an equip slot (i.e. uncheck the Head/Hair/Hatband boxes or whatever). They won't show up, won't replace anything, but will still grant their DR/DT and effects.

It'd be much more convenient to just make new items with those stats, while still using the model and texture you want. What kind of glasses are you after? I could whip up a pair with 3DR or so in minutes. Just give me the details and I'll throw it up on Nexus.

Your body armor counts as global DT, including headshots, so helms are not as important as you may think

Urge, how do you do that?
I tried to replace the reinforced leather armor texture with the leather armor text but the path is grayed out, unchangeable if I cant provide a specific .nif file (using the GECK)

Strange, normally if I want to alter the stats of an item I just change the ref ID and save it as a different reference, then change the stats of the new one to avoid changing every instance of that item in the game. Swapping models and textures for items works just fine for me, that Scarf mod I released was actually a desperado cowboy hat, which I then copied and changed the mesh of the new copy to the scarf mesh Tumbajamba made.

I've never had issues with this, are you using texture sets though? As in, did you create a new texture set with the textures you want and then replace the texture on the model in the GECk that way? That's the way I usually handle all new textures, so that's pretty much the only way I know of besides just altering it and doing a replacer where no GECK is needed at all.

I looked the armor up in the object window and tried to alter it there, but the option is locked, I can just manipulate the surface texture.
Thats how I done my food mod (which works fine :D )

Yes, it is. What he's asking for though are glasses that provide the same armor bonus as a hat would, so he can skip wearing one without losing any DR.

And to answer which, any really?
Any chance you can make a set? one of each?

It just pains me how hair clips through the hats and in general i just dont like the hats/helmets in NV.
