Fate of the Mad God

Walk like him until he walks like you, so to speak.

If it acts like the madgod, talks like the madgod, walks like the madgod, it must be the madgod, Sheogorath. Hell, Sheogorath was banking that Sheogorath would do all that.

I think somewhere it was inferred that everyone in SI saw you as Sheo, as in to them you looked like him, you spoke like him, etc. or something like that, I can't remember.

I think I remember remembering that.

I think the most lore friendly way of dealing with Sheo would be to have Haskil appear at the shrine. I would prefer to have the scottish nut appear again with some silly reason as to why he's there rather than the CoC. We'll see.

i would also personally favour the idea of Haskill appearing again. It would keep the mystery of what exactly happened in the end to Sheogorath/CoC and still work for any Sheogorath shrines appearing in the game.

What's stopping the other daedric princes from just slapping Jyggy back into the Mad-God again? Because I loved the original Sheo and having him back in the reins as Mad-God would be awesome. Also would the CoC eventually die? being Human/ Mer.

I think they should focus on another Daedric Prince. And base the expansion on his/her realm.

I should maybe edit the start of my opening post to make it clear that I'm not asking for Shivering Isles 2, just wondering if and how they'll do a Sheogorath Daedric Shrine Quest in Skyrim.

Here's the edited bit I added, which also contains some exemplary links regarding what I'm talking about:

First off, a couple of people posted saying that Bethesda should "focus on another Daedric Prince/Realm". This is NOT what I'm talking about. I'm not saying Bethesda should make a "Shivering Isles 2", I'm merely speculating as to whether or not they'll do a http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Daedric_Quests http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Daedric_Quests of http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Daggerfall:Daedric_Quests and if so, how might they pull it off in light of the events of Shivering Isles.

The first link shows the Daedric quests from Oblivion, the second from Morrowind, and the third from Daggerfall. Here are some links to Sheogorath's quests specifically (mind that they contain spoilers so if you haven't done his quest in that game-read at your own risk):

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Daggerfall:Sheogorath%27s_Quest
http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Sheogorath%27s_Quest
http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Sheogorath

The one they did in Oblivion is my favorite, and I'm hoping they'll do something even more bizzare, perhaps making use of the new engine, for Skyrim.

I've always assumed that the Champion of Cyrodiil would eventually take on the persona that Sheogorath had prior to the events of Shivering Isles. After all, if Daedric Princes can change the form in which they appear and the Champion of Cyrodiil has truly become a Daedric Prince, there should be nothing stopping him from taking on the form of the old Sheogorath, if he so wishes. If this is the case, then even though the player may have taken the place of Sheogorath, it wouldn't need to have any effect on anything. If Bethesda so chose, they could even not show any sign that anything had changed at all, since I doubt words of the events of Shivering Isles would reach Tamriel, though maybe there could be a few hints, maybe something in the dialog of Sheogorath or his worshippers could hint at what happened. Regardless, I don't really expect Bethesda to not include a Sheogorath quest in the game, though it waits to be seen how they'll handle it.
