[RELz] SWG's Skies v3

Sure. What would be the best way to send these files to you?

Upload them on a zip on an upload site somewhere, I'd recommend 4shared or 2shared if you don't want to sign up, but please don't upload it on Rapidshare, it tends to be fussy with me.

O.k. so for whatever reason the skies won't show up. Everything else works fine and looks great, but during the day the sky is just blue/white and and at night its just black. I have redownloaded/reinstalled several times and it hasn't worked. Before I had to reinstall morrowind due to a virus I used this mod and now I have no idea why it isn't working!

It sounds like the problem I had. Maybe the textures are too large for your video card to handle, as it seemed to be the issue my case. I had to reduce the size of the texture's in half to get it working. I sent the files to SWG, so there may be a lower-res version available soon.

BTW, SWG, I finally have the file uploaded. I am sending you the links via PM.

I've uploaded the night sky fix onto the PES FTP, so the link should be turned into a direct download soon enough.

Still downloading LordHaHa's 2048 conversion though, the files are being annoying to download on the computer I'm using, but I'll get them all soon enough. :)

I have this small issue with the sun glare.

Please let me explain with screenshots:

I can see the "edge" of the sun rays' texture/mesh/whatever. Is there a way to fix this?

No, it's an issue with the alpha in that specific texture, I'd made a fixed one, butit's on my computer...

Alright, I guess I'll revert back to the original sun glare for now then. Thanks for the quick reply.

If you're using MGE, "sun shafts" shader should also correct the problem. It doesn't come with the installation but a quick googling should do the trick. Load it after bloom/hdr shaders.

No, well, that doesn't fix the alpha issue.

The nightsky fix leads me to some 2shared.com site; the 'download' button is a link to an unrelated, poisonous muffin advertisemant (not an actual poisonous muffin, just general badness).

Is this just me, and should I obtain medication/anti-virus software, or is it the result of a recent conspiracy to prevent people from playing a neat-o psychedelic mod?

Only time and comments from other people will tell.

Crabneck
You should look for text "Save file to your PC:" the actual download link is just next to it ;)

ok so this has probably already been discussed numerous times but i haven't seen an answer for it since the forums went down.

I installed everythign right and erven installed the night sky fix but the problem remains that the night skies are textureless. i do remember seeing that you told someone to rename their night sky_02 to night sky_01 but was that for this type of problem or is this more along the lines of the filesize is too big for my graphics card? if it's the latter then when is the new lower res version going to be available for the public? as a man with no current income and no cash a new graphics card is out of the question. also, if i wished to use another night sky mod, how would one go about uninstalling the new night sky meshes so that a night sky could be used in conjunction with your mod?

I love this mod, but on some nights when a certain sky comes out I can clearly see seams in the skybox, and lack of continuity in the sky texture. Looks really jarring. Any ideas whats going wrong?
