Oblivions atmosphere

Everyone is very very like robotic no one really does anything to effect the surroundings. Look at Kvatch no one did anything to repair it, I would have paid thousands to maybe millions. Nothing no changes at all just the same through out the game no changes at all and that bugged me. I did all the mages, brotherhood, thief, and fighters guild wests. All I got was items.... I want results! Well thats not why we are here... Its ok... I do want them to talk more and be more active... I want beggars to beg other people and I want people to talk to them and give them something. As for the thieves guild I want items to be robbed for me because I am MOTHER [censored] BOSS! If I want a elderscroll I'm going to get a elderscroll if i want to get a necromancers staff or some random [censored] I'll get it. As for the mage guild I want the mages to gather around and I teach them and I get some dough from the sales. The Brotherhood I want them to kill people and I want to get some dough and items. Fightersguild uh idk make em train and I build a Fighters University.

Deep breaths, deep breaths.
But yeah, I agree with that to an extent. In The Guilds 2, when you run a buisness/guild, you get to open up new halls in places, and what the hell is up with the Bruma Fighters guild? Nothing goes on over there! When you become Arch Mage, the ban on necromancy, which I personally would lift, is not even involved with your duty! The DB, theres no more contracts! No more kills! How do you expect to keep a killer sane without telling him to kill?

I absolutely love the atmosphere in Oblivion, there's something about Oblivion moreso than morrowind that appeals to that itch in me to explore. Im playing right now with Really AEVWD so I can see forts and so on from miles away, I remember just wandering around in the countryside and looking up on top of a mountain and seeing a massive tower there and wondering what could be up there. So I went back to the nearest city and stocked up on food, hammers and potions and just set off to find out what was on that mountain. No quests, no directions just a long forgotten fort left there on top of a mountain and my desire to explore it. And its just things like that fort that give Oblivion such an incredible atmosphere, that fort wasnt involved in a quest it was just there as incidental detail to add some character to the world and give the world a sense of history that sadly few other games can achieve
