Fallout NV almost unplayable on my PS3

Post » Wed Feb 03, 2010 11:16 am

First of, I like Fallout games very much. Playing it sins Fallout 3 came out, now playing New Vegas, love it, but I'm a little bit MUCH getting mad about the game (not the boy :)
The game is getting like unplayable on my PS3.
When I'm wandering in the open world, first person view, every 10 feet I walk the game freezes up but I'm able to continue most times, when I'm walking in 3th person view, the game pretty much every feet freezus up to, and I cant do S!!!T about it.
What I also see is when I'm not in open world but somewhere inside a building, I never have that problem.
I have to put off and on my PS3 almost every 20min. now, this cant be good for it. It will break once I think if they dont patch the game soon! and not 1 patch I think!
OR maybe next time they will finaly test it good on the PS3 cause this is easy money for them, ripp off for me...
OR maybe Microsoft (xbox) got a lot of money and Fallout is diggin' it...easy peasy.

Still Fallout NV good game, want to enjoy it but just cant on (my) PS3.

For me I usually get small stutters whilst wondering around the Mojave which are annoying but not gamebreaking. After playing for a few hours I start getting larger freezes that last for a couple of seconds then the game goes back to normal.

Unfortunately there's nothing you can really do at the moment to fix the problem. It's either a limitation of the game engine or buggy code that Obsidian can fix with a patch....so in the meantime all we can do is be patient and try to enjoy the game.

That was a little weird to read, but most of us are having these issues if you had done a search you would have seen that. Anyways just know that you are not alone, it isn't only us PS3 users, 360 users as well as PC users are having just as many issues. (The 360 had literal game breaking issues that caused saves to get corrupted constantly) The engine that this game is built with is a broken engine as we have seen with Oblivion and Fallout 3 and all the issues that they had to fix and still didn't fix clearly came over to NV and then some. SO, just realize that they will fix some things, but the game will probably stay somewhat broken forever since they seem to be quite lazy maybe Obsidian will step up with this release. Just don't keep your hopes up.

Sorry for my English, I know it reads little strange. But I'm pissed off. These days you buy games that aren't finished yet. We give a lot of money for a lot of nothing.
Thanks 4 the info.
