Bought a new laptop on June 1st (I know), and tried to run GOTY edition after I blew the dust off it. I was extremely disappointed with it. Then I found this forum and spent an hour reading. I would have said thx a lot earlier. but have been too busy playing !

HP DX6, i5, 6 gigs ram, 1gig radeon card, win7.

I custom installed as advised, got the K-lite codec pack, did the msconfig thing,

Now the game runs nicely at medium settings, so big thx to the forum !

What an Arsehole to come here with your problem allready solved .... sheesh
