what if oblivion came out when skyrim did ?

Post » Sat Jun 23, 2012 2:39 am

ok so just to say i played oblivion first and i love the way it turned out when it came out.

but what if oblivion came out when skyrim did. say skyrim came out when oblivion did was the same exact game every little detail was the same . and the same with oblivion just one came out before the othe did.

so if oblivion came out when skyrim did would it be better or not.

and like i said personally i think its just fine the way it was. just say the fighting for skyrim was like oblivion and oblivion had skyrims fighting. but that would be the only changes.

It would still be a boring, generic fantasy game with copy pasted landscapes, simplified culture and politics, without mentions of the interesting agriculture that Cyrodiili society is based on or differences between Nibenay and Colovia, or any form of an island based canol society as Cyrodiil was described as in lore, and with a terrible main quest and boring side quests all made up for by excellent DLC and the Thieves Guild quest line, just in slightly higher resolution.

well it is also described in lore that talos changed the land of Cyrodiil from jungle to a regular forest. but the "island based canol society" yeah i don't know why they didn't do that maybe not enough time or they just couldn't do it. but. do you think they might be able to at least do that part with skyrims engion?

The rainforest I don't really mind and I can accept Talos changing Cyrodiil. But he didn't change the culture, the politics, the economy and all of these things were shown in Morrowind and Daggerfall, so it wasn't that they didn't have the tech, they just didn't want to portray Cyrodiil as it was shown in the PGE1 or make it more interesting than how it was shown.

i'll tell you one thing i would actually explore a lot more than i do when i play now.
oh and say all the caves and dungeons would be made like they were in skyrim to. so they all wouldn't e pretty much the same thing in every one you go to.
