Journal Entry Problem for Bloodmoon

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 4:14 am

I have ES3 GOTY for Xbox. Everything works normally on it. Everything but one thing that hinders my progress. I completed the Nordic tribe's trials in Bloodmoon, but afterwards when I speak to the cheiftan and hear the werewolves I wait and wait, but never get the journal entry that's coded to spawn them outside the chieftan's hut in the village.

Any ideas?

The Skaal guard in the Greathall is the one that gives you the proper Journal update.
So if he is dead for some reason, then you won't be able to talk to him and continue the quest.

You'll have to resort to an earlier save.

Thanks, I'll try again from an earlier save.

Also, and I don't know if PC games are supported, especially downloaded ones, but I recently downloaded and installed ES3 GOTY to my computer, and every time I install it the meshes folder is empty. It works fine normally but when I install the Tribunal expansion none of the newer meshes work because they aren't there and same for Bloodmoon. I can't even get Bloodmoon to work because it can't load the snow mesh. Any ideas about this?

Your meshes folder will be empty until you install mods. The base game pulls what it needs from the BSA's. Is http://www.gamesas.com/bgsforums/index.php?s=&showtopic=781497&view=findpost&p=11345653what you're getting for the Bloodmoon error?

What happens with Tribunal? Any error messages or graphic problems?

I managed to update them sort of, so I don't get immediate error messages for Tribunal, but as soon as I left the plantation house I was in on my last play I got messages saying it couldn't find mesh files. I don't have the PC version of ES3 GOTY, like I said, I downloaded it.

Oh, I am not using Vista.

You got it from Steam I take it? Look in the Morrowind folder for a file entitled warnings.txt. I'm not sure if it will be there on a Steam game though. If it's there, copy/paste it into your next post. If it's not, try and duplicate the error and tell us what it says. Maybe we can figure out what's going on from that.

No, I torrened it. Like I said before, all's okay except for the meshes not being there, so every time I enter an area with an object that is given a new texture by the Tribunal files, I get an error telling me that the mesh texture was not found. Same with tribunal content, I get an error message upon entering Ebonheart telling me the mesh for every piece of adamantium armor cannot be found.

The developer's forum is not a good place to ask questions about torrents.
