Jumping jesus on a pogostick!

I'm freaking astonished (if you couldn't tell already) by the amount of improvements mods can bring to oblivion. I already knew the game was made five times as fun with OOO, the DLC's, MMM, Symphony of Violence and others. But I also installed OBGE, Unique Landscapes, All Natural and these were fantastic too.

But I just yesterday activated the ENB color shader for OBGE and installed FOV modifier and 3rd person animations for 1st person, combined with what I already had, HOT DAMN IT LOOKS GOOD. As good as Skyrim even! No, I should say it looks better even!

So I just made this thread as a testament to the insane amount of work modders have done to evolve and improve Oblivion, and as a thank you to those hard working men and women. Modders, we salute you. (At least, I do.)

I know what I'll be playing this summer.

Also, am I missing any mods? I'd like the ultimate experience possible.
I don't think there's much left for me but here's my mod list if you'd care to suggest anything.

I personally don't have any mods that alter the game - to me, a mod should add to the game, as opposed to changing it.

That said, I have a number of (smaller) mods installed. Simple Portable Tent, Bruma House Fireplace, Cazy Hair, Capes and Cloaks, Companion Fergus, Companion Vilja and Council of Mages Reconvened are examples of how small mods can make a big impact on your gameplay.

The largest mod I have installed is Kvatch Rebuilt. Unfortunately I ran into some bugs while playing it and haven't tried to finish it since. It's still an excellent mod - its nice to have Kvatch functioning!

There are thousands of mods out there, many of them of a very good quality. They can definitely enhance the game!

Most of the mods I have installed are for visual improvements. I ran OOO previously and maybe I messed up the install or had conflicts but it ruined my experience. Not to mention coming fresh out of the tutorial and being afraid to enter any dungeon. Lol.
Have you looked at Better Cities? It may or may not conflict with what you have, but it makes every city feel more alive. There are things added that can help with a roleplaying approach. The bath houses are a neat touch. =)
I would recommend heading over to UESP.net and checking the Oblivion mods page. There are a couple of Recommended mods lists by users and its a good way to get directed to things you may have missed. Atleast it did for me!
Happy gaming!

EDIT: Also you might want to check the UNIQUE landscapes nexus page for patches to what you've already downloaded. If I remember correctly there's a patch for OOO that clears a few conflicts. I think. Didn't see them on your list.

Well sure, there's tons. Just looking at your list, you should really replace Living Economy with Enhanced Economy. And I've never heard of "NoDaedricQuestLevelLocks.esp" but OOO already unlevels the daedric quests. Natural Weather is good, but http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/18305 is much better (and includes Natural Weather's textures). Looks like you've got a pretty good core there though.

You really should run WryeBash and learn to build a bashed patch. It's pretty straightforward nowadays. This will immensely improve your modded game experience by helping to keep mods from overwriting each other all over the place. Plus some mods like All Natural (and OOO with MMM) won't work properly without it.

For all the DLC's there'shttp://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/11474, that basically delays them so you don't get a ton of quests popping up in the dungeon, and they occur more naturally as you play.

WAC and MMM were the only real overhaul mods I used. Every encounter was intense, and WAC provided a host of new weapons and armors to combat the baddies.

I did actually have open better cities. But it lagged quite a bit so I downgraded to better cities and that still lagged, so I downgraded to open cities and that lagged and now I just have none and it still lags a bit when I look in certain directions. But it's not a problem and I don't feel like finding out what causes it and how I can fix it. Not now anyway.

Thanks for the tips. I actually have OOO, and it's working but I couldn't do a certain daedric quest. Hmmm. . . was that a bug then? Based on your suggestions I'm installing all natural and enhanced economy now.

By the way, what other obge shaders would anyone recommend?

I'll make a ss asap.

Almost as good as Skyrim in some ways, better in most. In my opinion. . .

I installed Weather - All natural but it looks as if it removes my OBGE ENB shader. I see it's effect for 1 second and then it's gone, replaced with the dull lighting from all natural. Is there any way I can stop this from happening?

EDIT: Nevermind, it was the color filiter. I reinstalled All natural without it.

Beautiful, I love how that looks! Does it have a big impact on performance though?

Not at all. A constant 30 fps everywhere, besides cities. Because when I took the ss with Fraps it also showed the framerate. Seems to be locked at 30. Strangely it feels much less bad than in other games if I get 30 fps. Might be wrong though and it was just an fps dip.

And that's with the inferior lighting and some overcast. It'll look glorious without both of those.
