hello; scripting help?

Post » Fri Jun 22, 2012 11:21 pm

hello to everyone, i liked morrowind better then the new ones... (i like spellmaking and mystism)
well; i have a few questions about the game in general and mostly just the construction set:
1)general question: what is a way i can make moving around with a computer not so tiring?
2)is their any way i can make something move based on where it already is? for example i wanted to make a flying ship that you could click a button in the game to move it forward.
3)is their a way to make it not so tedious to place items, for example if one wall is near another wall they will click together?
4)is their a place where i can get mesh's for items/creatures and add them in?
5)can i make certain skills increase faster/slower?
6)a way to get it on another computer? like transfering the file over the internet?
7)i don't understand how you add imaging to new races/creatures.

here is the cool stuff i have self learned by looking at the others scripts:
how to set up an item to summon a creature, the fact that instead of using brackets to know what is in the if statements you indent.
some other stuff...

thanks for your time, and please help.

Why would one need a joystick for the Construction Set?

1. If you mean that you don't like the keyboard/mouse controls, then you can use a gamepad, or an Xbox controller, etc etc
These work for the game, not for the CS.

2. You sure can. For all your scripting needs, study https://mywebspace.wisc.edu/hazelton/commons/7007668-Morrowind-Scripting-for-Dummies-9.pdf . It is the best guide to understanding scripting.

3. When creating anything you need to be precise with, you will want to make sure Snap to Grid and Snap to Angle are turned on, so you can link everything together seamlessly. Then you can turn them off for the small details, like clutter.

4. Yes. There are hundreds of resources made for Morrowind that you can use. http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1057001-list-of-morrowind-modders-resources/ will get you started.

5. Yes, they are governed by GMSTs. Info on them in MWSFD also.

6. The same way you would transfer any file. Email it to yourself, or use a storage site, or use an external hard drive to trade files.

7. There are many tutorials on all functions of the CS. Google it, or check http://www.gamesas.com/topic/24-comprehensive-tutorial-and-useful-link-list/
