So I downloaded Games for Windows Live in order to play Age of Empires Online. Apparently this activated GfWL for Fallout as well. This is annoying because it forces me to log out of windows live to access my previous saved games and it kicks me out of Game Booster each time. I tried just uninstalling GfWL but once I did Fallout wouldn't play at all. The initial start up screen would come up, but then when I clicked play nothing would happen. Does anyone know how I can get rid of this annoying program without screwing up Fallout?

The first question would be ... do you want to keep GFWL running for "Age of Empires" ?

But youll still need to reinstall it from the Fallout3 GOTY disk .... Then update it however it needs to be to run Age of empires.

Then get the GFWL disabler http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/1086

You can however run fallout 3 with GFWL by moveing your saves from the default location to the folder with your GFWL user name on it.

Saves are stored "MyDocuments\MyGames\Fallout3\Saves" When not logged into GFWL

And the location it needs to go , is somewhere along that path ... cant remember where ..... But look for Xlive , and your user name.
