If anyone's interested...

Really? I thought it was quite fun. Complex and difficult at first, but after you learn, there's multiple ways of going about completing an objective.

You seriously must be playing a different Dystopia than me...

I only found 3 servers, both out of the US. I went to the forums to look up abilities, applied them, and nothing. Unloading half a magazine of minigun rounds into a light does nothing and for some reason the heavies took zero damage (I had IFF). I was stuck going heavy and punching people just to get a kill before being blown to pieces with a bunch of rockets. Then again, Source mods are notorious for the whole spray and pray garbage that gets chunked out every month. Brink had better not be anything like this. I'm not looking for BlackOps, but I am looking for a chance to actually play and have fun.

P.S. You can't have fun dying...

For the record: If I ever catch wind of bunnyhopping, sniper teams (even if there aren't snipers), dancing, spawn killing, noob-kills, or anything that's going to ruin my experience, there will be zero chance of me ever buying Brink.

You must have a very short list of FPS games to play then, cuz I cant think of any that fit that requirement.

As a matter of fact, even though I own and have played over 20 FPS titles, giving at least 50 hours to each of them, I have yet to find an FPS game I can stomach.

I only had one server, and I jumped right into gameplay. I went medium and had no difficult taking down lights with a semi automatic rifle, which destroys your whole spray and pray theory, and I chipped away at heavy's health from afar. There are two healthbars you know. You empty the first one out and start on the second. And there are a few Source mods that are spray and pray, but many aren't. Have you played the Hidden? It gives every player only two clips of ammo. No sprayin there. And Pirates, Vikings, and Knights has zero spray and pray, considering that there are no guns.

And I don't know who you were playing with, but rockets aren't an often used weapon in Dystopia, since the reload time is very slow...

Just sayin'.

Most people played a medium with Health-Boost and Assault Rifle, when I was playing Dystopia lately.

Personally I like the light with Leg Boosters, the Soundwave-Triangulator (?) and a Cold-Suit, sporting the double Pistols.

Yeah we are definitely playing two different dystopias...my semi-auto rifle barely scratched lights. I also know I hit, heard the little beeping noise, and I know there's two health bars.

There's a lot of people with that medical storage thing...I personally like either my light with stealth and hacking abilities (with leg boosters of course) and the laser rifle thing, my medium with med bay and semi auto rifle, or a heavy with leg boosters and an ion cannon.

You guys are all playing the same Dystopia, the issue comes in with Commando's very first statement. When he tried to get on, the only servers availible were outside of the US. That means high ping. Since I played with both with high and low ping, I can see the issue here. When the game was working fine for me, i found the semi-auto rifle to be difficult but rewarding weapon that would drop medium players in a few shots. When my ping got higher, there was no reg, and I had to hit a few times just to do any damage.

Well, such can be expected with any game eh? I think the game itself is a great one, and I have yet to not have fun playing it, even though right now I svck pretty bad. XD
