What is the creepiest place in Fallout New Vegas? (DLCs also

Post » Sat Jun 30, 2012 11:14 pm

In Fallout 3 one of the most eariest places was the Dunwich building (Based off one of H.P Lovercrafts storys) filled with ghouls and whierd flashbacks and even a few things moveing by themselfs (like a door).

In Fallout New Vegas many people say that vault 22 if creepy. Some people say Vault 11 is the creepiest place in Fallout:NV. Some go with Goodsprings cemetary.

But in your opinion what is the creepiest place in Fallout:NV? This can include all DLCs such as Dead money, Old World Blues, Honest Hearts, Lonesome Road,

the madre. im still thinking of the exact place but i think the path from the fountain to the police station is a bit eerie, the part with the small fountain and hologram is the worst imo, not knowng what is in store for me the first time really made that place stand out

The entire Dead Money DLC was very creepy to me. I don't think I'll ever play that DLC again. :ermm:

Sunrise?

And Yes Dead money was very earie especially the hologram people. Its like they stare your soul down from the screen while you know they still wander a dead place trying to find purpose in thier meeningless lifes.

Well, the Villa around the Sierra Madre is split into about six parts. There's the Residential District, Clinic, Police Station, Town Square, Salida Del Sol (Sunrise), and Puesta Del Sol (Sunset).

Salida Del Sol and Puesta Del Sol are similar, except that in Puesta Del Sol you are walking around in green fog, and in Salida Del Sol, it's near pitch black unless your brightness is way up.

all the vaults are eerie if you ask me, but the desolation of the madre beats it out big time

Spoiler
Not really, because I saw the Robot ambush coming as I was watching the video. It was actually pretty awesome because I was like: "Get ready, I know something big is going to happen." Vault 11 is one of the coolest vaults in the franchise, IMHO.

Just started playing Fallout New Vegas again after putting it away since release day to wait on patches. Am really enjoying it now and glad to see the patches have made Fallout New Vegas the artistic emotionally stirring masterpiece it was all along.

So far in my limited exploration i have found the outdoors to be just plain creepy and scary with its unsettling sense of true grit and survival where death can be waiting just around any turn of the valley. Caves are also very disturbing with so much death pulsing within them its as if i entered an underground graveyard one step away from the entrance of the fiery pits of eternal damnation

I didn't find any location of NV particularly creepy. DM was scary but that was mostly because of the Ghost People. Creepy doesn't need to be scary. Creepy is disturbing without necessarily triggering survival mechanisms, unlike scary which comes from spooks and tension. Dead Space is scary, Obedece la morsa is creepy.
I guess what we see in NV just doesn't fit my taste of horror. I prefer apocalyptic logs, abandoned buildings and cosmic horror. Fallout 3 had a lot of creepy ranging from Dunwich to Point Lookout.

Oh, now I remember. Vault 11. That place is a bit creepy, something like 75% fascinating and 25% creepy. It's by far my favorite vault in the Fallout.

for me, its the repconn test site, first time in there i was all alone, and had no idea that ghouls were even part of the fallout world. so wandering down there was fine, blowing them apart from a distance but once i was inside the echoes of screeches and groans turned this game into a temporary horror game Q_Q
