Just wondering, did you ever buy an expensive weapon then wish you hadn't? Like it didn't perform well or as you'd hoped for.
Many times. Same thing with mods; buy a mod — find a better weapon than the one you just modded. I'm wondering if I should play a character that only uses weapons found out in the wild, or looted off the dead (not buying any weapons). Might work, as I've seen just about every weapon available via combat or salvage.
I guess another counter to the problem would involve me understanding the weapon locations and drops better; allowing the game to upgrade me organically, as I play. The higher tier weapons, like the AMR, wouldn't be available until the very end, but I don't see that as a huge problem. I've never used the AMR anyway, as I dislike the weight, and the low rate of fire. It dishes out some huge damage, but I'm more of a tactical player.
